NovaShot Portfolio Website and Brand Identity for a Professional Photographer

A website project in photography, delivered by DeveloperLook.

About the project

NovaShot Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built NovaShot, a photography portfolio website and brand identity for a professional photographer. It presents the work, services, and packages in a clean white, black, and gold layout.

NovaShot is a portfolio website for a professional photographer. It shows the photographer's creative work, skills, and services in one place. The site does two jobs: it carries the photographer's personal brand, and it gives potential clients a clear path to booking. Strong visuals, clean layouts, and minimal design elements do the work of building trust.

The home page opens with a Discover your Awesome Photos hero, a Let's Collaborate button, and 3 highlights: Creative, Fast & Easy Clicker, and Retouching. Below sit an About Us block, tiles for personal photos, fashion, weddings, and portraits, and a portfolio grid with filter tabs. Client testimonials, 3 photo packages, recent articles, and a newsletter signup close the page.

Separate pages cover services, the photographer's story, the full portfolio, and the blog. The services page lists camera work, photo framing, directing, post production, video editing, and models, and adds an FAQ accordion. A shop section lists cameras with product pages. Every main page also has a mobile layout.

We also designed the NovaShot brand. It pairs an aperture logo with the Open Sans typeface and a palette of dark golden brown, dark gray, and light beige. The same look carries over to business cards, an icon set, a billboard, and social media posts.

Challenge and solution

What NovaShot Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

NovaShot needed a portfolio website that balanced visual artistry with a professional structure.

As a photography site, it had to show large, high-quality images without slowing the pages down. The layout also had to communicate the photographer's skill, creativity, and experience while staying simple to navigate.

Our solution

We designed a clean, minimal layout that lets the photography stand out and keeps navigation smooth.

A white, black, and gold palette gives the site a calm, professional look that frames the images without competing with them. Optimized images and a flexible grid keep pages fast and hold their quality on every screen size, from phones to desktops.

What we built

Features We Built for NovaShot

  • Filterable portfolio grid

The portfolio shows photos in a mixed-size grid. Tabs for All, Photos, Video, Models, and Studio let visitors narrow the work to the kind of shoot they're planning.

  • Services and specialties

A services page lists camera work, photo framing, directing, post production, video editing, and models. Tiles for personal photos, fashion, weddings, and portraits show the photographer's main specialties.

  • Home page hero

The home page opens with a Discover your Awesome Photos headline, a phone contact line, a Let's Collaborate button, and social links. A Get In Touch button stays in the header on every page.

  • Photo package cards

The 3 package cards (Personal, Group, and Professional) sit side by side so visitors can compare them. Each card lists what the shoot includes and ends with a Get Purchase button.

  • Testimonials and FAQ

A testimonial slider shows client quotes with a photo, a name, and a location. The services page adds an FAQ accordion that answers common questions before a visitor gets in touch.

  • Blog and newsletter

A Recent Article section and a blog list share photography tips and stories, each with an author and a date. A newsletter signup in the footer collects email addresses from interested visitors.

  • Camera shop pages

A shop lists cameras as cards with star ratings, plus search, category, and price filters. Each product page has a photo, a quantity selector, a Buy Now button, and tabs for details and reviews.

  • Gold brand identity

The NovaShot brand pairs an aperture logo with the Open Sans typeface and a palette of dark golden brown, dark gray, and light beige. It runs through business cards, icons, a billboard, and social posts.

FAQ

Questions About the NovaShot Project

  • A photography portfolio website and a brand identity. The website covers a home page, services, an about story, a full portfolio, a blog, and shop pages, each with a mobile layout. The brand work includes the aperture logo, the Open Sans typeface, and a golden brown, dark gray, and beige palette. It also covers business cards, icons, a billboard, and social media posts.

  • Through a filterable grid. Visitors pick All, Photos, Video, Models, or Studio, and the grid shows that kind of work. On phones, a category picker adds outdoor, landscape, wedding, lifestyle, and portrait shoots. Mixed image sizes keep the grid varied, so a visitor can scan many shoots quickly and open the ones that match their plans.

  • Through how the images and the grid were set up. We prepared the photos for fast loading and placed them in a flexible grid that adapts to each screen. A light layout with plenty of white space keeps the pages simple, so the photos stay the focus on phones, tablets, and desktops.

  • For a professional photographer and the people who hire one. Visitors may be planning a wedding, a portrait session, a fashion shoot, or personal photos. They browse the portfolio, read testimonials and the FAQ, and compare the 3 packages. Then they contact the photographer through the Get In Touch or Let's Collaborate buttons.

  • Yes. Every main page has a mobile layout: the home page, the gallery, services, the about story, the blog list, and the category picker. The site was also laid out for tablets and laptops. The flexible grid keeps photos in proportion on each screen size, from a small phone to a wide laptop.

  • Yes. DeveloperLook designs and builds portfolio websites for photographers and other creatives, with filterable galleries, service and package pages, testimonials, a blog, and clear contact buttons. We can also design your logo and brand kit. We start with the shoots you want to book more of, then shape each page around how those clients choose a photographer.
