The Problem
The leak rarely sits in one place. It shows up in a form with no vehicle details, a booking retyped by hand, and a repair the customer won't approve.
Night requests wait until morning for a callback.
Bookings get retyped by hand into your management system.
Big estimates get declined without photos or payment options.
Past customers don't hear from you when service comes due.
A driver with squealing brakes searches at 9 pm, finds your site, and sends a form that says only 'car making noise'. Your advisor calls back the next morning and plays phone tag. When the booking finally lands, someone retypes it into Tekmetric or Shopmonkey. The inspection photos stay on a technician's phone, so the big estimate gets declined at the counter. And months later, nobody reminds that driver the next service is due.
Online booking takes the job at night, with the vehicle and symptom already filled in.
Bookings post straight to your shop system, so the advisor opens a job that's ready.
Inspection reports show a photo per finding, and financing links sit on the estimate.
Reminders go out from your repair order history, timed by mileage or date.
We start by following one job from the first search to the paid invoice: where the request lands, who answers, what gets retyped, and why estimates stall. Then we build in the order that fills bays soonest. The site asks for the vehicle and the symptom, bookings post to your shop system, and inspection photos travel with the estimate. Financing sits next to big repairs, and reminders bring the car back when it's due.
Requests with the vehicle attached
Forms and bookings ask for the vehicle, the symptom, and a photo, so your advisor can quote without a second call.
One record per job, not three
Web bookings post to Shopmonkey or Tekmetric through their APIs, and Mitchell 1 shops book through SocialCRM links.
Estimates customers can approve
Inspection photos, line-item approvals, and lender prequalify links sit on the estimate, where the decision happens.
Our Services
Pick the part of the shop you want to fix first: the website, the booking link to your shop system, the estimate, or local search. Each build runs on your accounts, so the next one plugs into it.
Sites for repair, body, towing, diesel, and tire shops that ask for the vehicle and the problem before you pick up the phone.
Bookings, inspections, and reminders tied to Shopmonkey, Tekmetric, or Mitchell 1, so your advisors stop retyping jobs.
Photo estimates for collision work, vehicle fitment search for your parts store, and lender financing on your big repairs.
Booking sites for your studio, mobile crew, or tint shop, plus coating ads and local SEO that keep your calendar full.
Monthly SEO, Google Business Profile builds, Local Services Ads, and collision ad programs, reported to you by calls and repair orders.
Marketing for brake and transmission shops, websites for auto glass, and fleet account programs if you want business customers.
Who We Build For
A collision center chasing photo estimates and a mobile detailer routing one van have little in common. Choose your shop type to see which services we pair and the usual setup time.

Your general repair shop competes with dealer service departments and quick lubes. You need bookings that land where your advisors work, inspections customers trust, and a way for customers to say yes to big estimates.
Independent repair shops: Your last automotive website design company left you a template that doesn't talk to your management software, so each web request gets retyped.

Drivers after an accident send photos, compare shops, and ask about their claim. You need photo estimates on your own site, pages that prove your training, and ads you can trace to repair orders.
Collision centers and body shops: Your estimators spend mornings chasing damage photos by text, and the photos arrive blurry, cropped, or missing the VIN.

You sell coating, correction, and film packages, and a no-show on a multi-day job costs you the whole slot. You need deposits at booking, galleries that prove the work, and searches that reach new-car owners.
Detailing studios and mobile detailers: You price by vehicle size and paint condition, and callers keep asking what a package costs before they'll book.

Your customers shop by tire size or by vehicle, and a wrong fit means a return. You need search by size or vehicle, installed prices up front, and financing for big tickets.

You run 2 or more shops under one brand, and customers expect the same booking and follow-up at each one. You need one booking system, one set of reports, and search results that send drivers to the nearest shop.
Multi-shop groups: Each location reports bookings its own way, so your monthly numbers don't line up from shop to shop.
Our Process
You approve the plan and a fixed price before work starts, and you watch test bookings run through each step before customers do.
We send a test request through your site after hours and follow it to your advisor, your management system, and the invoice. You get a ranked list of the leaks that cost you the most jobs.
We map your services, bays, and technician hours, which tools stay, and what each vendor's API allows. You approve the plan, the page list, and a fixed-price proposal before any build starts.
We design the pages and forms while we request API keys, lender approval, or vendor access. Tekmetric reviews API requests and lenders approve each shop, so we start those early.
We build the site, the bookings, the portals, and the payment links. Test bookings and test estimates run through each step before a real customer sees them.
Your first real bookings go live while we watch the logs and fix what breaks, with 30 days of support. At handover your service advisors get a short guide to the new tools.

What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built websites, booking flows, and integrations for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Overview
DeveloperLook offers automotive web development for repair shops, collision centers, detailers, tire dealers, and towing companies. We build websites, photo estimate and inspection portals, and fitment search, and we connect bookings to Shopmonkey or Tekmetric so nobody retypes a job. Single setups start at $450, and a shop site with booking launches in 4 to 6 weeks.
Not a fit
Your budget is under $450. The booking page built into your management system and a free Google profile you run yourself will do for now. If those already cover your case, we'll tell you before we quote.
The inspection and reminder tools inside your management system already fit your shop. Tekmetric, Shopmonkey, and Mitchell 1 offer them, so we set those up instead of building a custom portal.
You need a franchise dealer website that counts toward your manufacturer's co-op program. Choose from its certified providers first, then ask us about custom tools around that site.
You only want ads run on the site you have. You don't need new software: our Local Services Ads management or collision ad programs cover that alone.

DeveloperLook pricing starts at $450 for a single setup, such as a Google Business Profile build for one shop. A repair shop site with bookings saved in Shopmonkey or Tekmetric starts at $2,000, and adding financing, service reminders, and the profile makes it $3,950. Monthly programs, such as Local Services Ads management, start at $750 per month. Shop software vendors, lenders, and texting providers bill their own fees.
Single setups take 1 to 3 weeks, and a shop site with booking takes 4 to 6 weeks. Review and planning take about a week, design 1 to 2 weeks, and the build and tests 2 to 3 weeks. The full connected system takes 8 to 12 weeks, because vendor steps add time: Tekmetric reviews API requests, lenders approve each shop, and Google verifies new profiles.
Start with what drivers check before they call: your services, labor rate, warranty, and the certifications your technicians hold. Then add a request form that asks for the vehicle and the symptom, online booking through your shop software, and tap-to-call on phones. Our Auto Repair Website Design Services page covers the full build, from $1,250.
No single system wins for every shop, but most published lists name Tekmetric, Shopmonkey, AutoLeap, and Mitchell 1. Fullbay shows up for heavy-duty and fleet work. Many of those lists come from software vendors that rank their own product first, so book demos with 2 or 3. Ask each one how bookings reach it from your website, since that decides how much your advisors retype.
Most franchise dealers run their sites on dealer website platforms such as Dealer.com, Dealer Inspire, or DealerOn, often picked from their manufacturer's certified provider list. Dealer.com belongs to Cox Automotive, and Dealer Inspire is a Cars Commerce brand. Certified providers can qualify dealers for co-op reimbursement. Independent dealers have more freedom, and a custom site fed by their inventory system works too.
Car dealership website development starts with the inventory feed: each vehicle in your dealer software gets its own page with VIN, photos, and price. Then come finance and trade-in forms that post to your CRM, filters by make, model, and price, and fast mobile pages. Google phased out vehicle listing rich results in 2025, so markup no longer earns a special search display.
You can if you're an independent dealer, as long as your inventory updates on its own. Use a builder such as WordPress with a feed from your dealer management system, not hand-typed listings. Add a finance application, a trade-in form, and tap-to-call. If you're a franchise dealer, ask your manufacturer's digital program which providers it certifies before you start.
You need one when customers or technicians have to use the software, not just read a page. Examples include a photo estimate portal, inspection reports customers approve by line, a scheduler that counts technician hours, and parts fitment search. Our automotive app development services build these as web apps that open on any phone, with no app store review. First, we check whether your shop software already does the job.
Yes for Shopmonkey and Tekmetric, and partly for Mitchell 1, because each vendor opens its data differently. Shopmonkey has an open API with signed webhooks, so bookings can open work orders. Tekmetric reviews each API application and sends no webhooks, so we check for changes on a schedule. Manager SE has no API for shops, so Mitchell 1 shops book through SocialCRM links and post sales to QuickBooks through Accounting Link.
Your shop owns them: we create the domain, hosting, and vendor accounts under your name or work inside the ones you have. At launch you get admin logins, the source code, and a short runbook. We support the build for 30 days, and after that any developer, or our team, can maintain it.
