About the project

YogaNest Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built YogaNest, a yoga and wellness app for every level. Users set goals, follow a personal daily plan, join guided programs, study poses, and adjust voice guidance and music.

YogaNest is a digital platform that makes yoga and wellness practice more accessible to people of every level. The project was the design and development of a calm, easy-to-use app where users explore classes, follow guided sessions, and track their progress. The aim was to blend technology with mindfulness, so the app feels useful and soothing at the same time.

Onboarding starts with a short quiz. Users choose the yoga styles they want to explore, such as classic, lazy, somatic, or chair yoga, and answer questions about their fitness and well-being. They also pick goals like learning the basics, mindfulness, weight loss, or flexibility. The app uses those answers to personalize the experience.

The home screen greets the user by name and shows the current day of their plan, guided sessions, and a meditation. The Explore screen adds search, trending filters, featured series, and focus areas for different parts of the body. Programs list their level, length, and daily exercises, and a pose library explains each pose step by step.

Settings let users change their plan type, goal, focus, and preferred session length. They can also choose brief or detailed voice guidance with optional music. A Go Premium screen presents the paid plan. Soft greens, light backgrounds, and clean typography keep every screen calm.

Challenge and solution

What YogaNest Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

YogaNest needed an app that was simple for beginners and still rewarding for experienced practitioners.

New users had to find their way with ease, while regular users wanted deeper tools. The interface had to capture the calm of yoga without feeling commercial or cluttered. Classes, progress tracking, and personal goals also had to fit into one smooth flow.

Our solution

We designed and built a nature-inspired app with soft colors and clean typography that reflect the calm of yoga.

A short onboarding quiz shapes a personal daily plan around each user's goals and level. Users join programs, follow guided sessions, and work through each day of practice, while a pose library and adjustable voice guidance give experienced users more depth.

What we built

Features We Built for YogaNest

  • Personalized onboarding quiz

New users answer short questions about the yoga styles they want to try, their plank hold time, and their well-being, with encouraging feedback on their answers.

  • Daily practice plan

The home screen greets each user by name and shows today's step in their plan, with a featured session, guided sessions, a meditation, and an Edit Plan link.

  • Programs with levels

Programs show their level, length in weeks, and calorie estimate with a Join Program button. Each day lists its exercises in order and opens with a Start Day button.

  • Explore by focus area

The Explore screen offers search, a quick start session, trending filters, featured series, and focus areas such as neck and shoulders, back and spine, arms, and legs.

  • Pose library and instructions

A pose library filters by level, focus, and position. Each pose page rates flexibility, relaxation, balance, and strength, and walks through numbered steps for the pose.

  • Guided sessions and meditation

Guided session screens group classes such as body therapy, tai chi, and chair yoga, while class pages introduce the instructor and list related classes to save as favorites.

  • Voice guidance and music

Users choose brief or detailed voice guidance and switch app music on or off. They pick a track and set the volume for each, so sessions sound the way they like.

  • Premium plan screen

A Go Premium screen lists the benefits of upgrading, such as ad-free access, a personal yoga plan, and curated music. Monthly, quarterly, and yearly options sit below.
