About the project

Airline Review Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built Airline Review, a community website where travelers share, rate, and explore business and first class flight experiences through photo reviews, comments, and upvotes.

Airline Review is a community website for people who fly business and first class. Members post reviews of their flights, rate the airline, and read what others say about cabins, lounges, and onboard service. The project was a redesign: DeveloperLook handled the web design and development and gave the brand a consistent red and charcoal identity.

The home page opens with a full-width hero over an aircraft wing, the line "Discover the art of flying", and a Join Now button. Below it, the Share and Discover feed lists reviews as cards. Each card carries the traveler's name, a star rating, and tags for the route, airline, cabin class, and month of travel. A short story and a photo from the flight sit below.

The main navigation covers Home, Share, Search, Ask, FAQ, and Contact, with Login and Sign Up buttons. The Share form collects the flight details, a rating, a photo, and a message. Member profiles hold settings and buttons to share the profile, invite others, and give feedback. Banner and sidebar slots carry Airline Review promotions, and a home page section announces mobile apps as coming soon.

Challenge and solution

What Airline Review Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

Airline Review needed a platform that looks as polished as the premium cabins it covers and still works smoothly.

Travelers had to post a review, rate an airline, and browse other experiences without confusion. The visual side and the functional side carried equal weight, so neither could crowd out the other.

Our solution

We redesigned Airline Review with a clean, modern layout, large flight photography, and simplified navigation.

Interactive review cards bring together the rating, route and class tags, photos, likes, and a comment thread. Content categories, comment sections, and a responsive layout let members browse and share experiences on any screen. Together they make the community easier to join and to take part in.

What we built

Features We Built for Airline Review

  • Rated review cards

Each card shows the traveler, a star rating, and tags for route, airline, cabin class, and travel month. A short story and a flight photo follow, with like and share buttons.

  • Comments with upvotes

Under every review, readers leave comments, upvote the useful ones, and reply in threads. A See More Comments link keeps long discussions tidy on the card.

  • Share your flight form

A guided form asks for departure and arrival airports, airline, class, flight date, and a rating. A photo upload and a written message complete each review.

  • Search and ask

A search screen filters reviews by flight details such as departure airport and airline. An Ask a Question button lets members put a question to the community.

  • Member profiles

Profile pages show the member's photo, country, and reviews. Settings cover display name, country, and password, with buttons to share the profile, invite others, and give feedback.

  • Banner and sidebar promos

Banner and tall sidebar slots carry Airline Review promotions with QR codes. They sit beside the review feed, so campaigns stay visible without breaking the reading flow.

  • Red and charcoal brand set

The brand set covers the Airline Review logo, an icon set, and a boarding pass graphic. Airport display ads and social media posts follow the same red and charcoal style.

FAQ

Questions About the Airline Review Project

  • Airline Review is a community website where travelers share and rate their business and first class flights. Each review carries a star rating, the route, the airline, the cabin class, and photos from the trip. DeveloperLook redesigned it with a clean layout, interactive review cards, and simpler navigation, so members can post and browse with less effort.

  • They open the Share form from the main navigation. The form asks for the departure and arrival airports, the airline, the cabin class, the flight date, a star rating, a photo, and a short message. Published reviews show in the Share and Discover feed as cards that others can like, share, and comment on.

  • Readers compare flights through the tags on each review card: route, airline, cabin class, and travel month. The search screen narrows reviews by flight details, and star ratings give a quick read on each experience. A FAQ page also explains how ratings are calculated and whether reviews are verified.

  • Yes. Mobile responsiveness was part of the redesign, and the gallery shows the feed, Share form, search, profiles, and contact page on phones and tablets. On phones, a bottom tab bar keeps Home, Search, Share Experience, and Ask Question one tap away. The home page also announces native mobile apps as coming soon.

  • Yes. We'd start from what your members will post (ratings, photos, tags, or comments) and how you want to moderate it. Then we'd design the feed, the submission form, and member profiles around that content. Tell us about your community and the tools you use today, and we'll suggest a starting point.
