Websitefor Archies
A website project in architecture & interior, delivered by DeveloperLook.
About the project
DeveloperLook designed and built the Archies website for a high-end architecture and interior design firm. The site turns the firm's online presence into a visual extension of its work, with fast-loading project photography and a minimal layout.
Archies is a high-end architecture and interior design firm. It asked for a modern, elegant, and professional website that would act as a visual extension of its creativity and its standard of architectural work. The site speaks to prospective clients, homeowners among them, who judge a firm by the quality of its projects.
The homepage opens on the line "Transform Your Space with Archies" above a full-width photo of the latest project. Visitors then meet the firm, its 6 services, featured work, and client testimonials. A How It Works section lays out 5 steps, from the first consultation to the final walk-through and follow-up. Each project, such as Lakefront Retreat, gets its own page with the year, a short description, key facts, and a gallery.
Separate pages cover the firm's story and values, the team, pricing, the Design Insights blog, and a form for new project inquiries. A newsletter sign-up closes the main pages. The main pages have tablet and phone layouts alongside the desktop version. The gallery also shows the Archies identity carried off the screen: the logo, wall signage, business cards, a billboard, and social media posts.

Challenge and solution
The challenge
High-resolution images, though, can slow a site down and frustrate visitors, especially on slower connections.
The firm also wanted a minimal, elegant design that matched its brand.

Our solution
We compressed the high-resolution images without visible quality loss and lazy-loaded them, so photos load as visitors scroll and pages stay fast on every device.
Around them, we designed a user-centered layout with a minimalist look, generous white space, and clean typography.
What we built
Six features, shown next to the screens they live on.
Compressed, lazy-loaded images keep full-width project photos sharp while pages stay quick, even on slower connections. Visitors see the work in detail without waiting for every image at once.
Each project, such as Lakefront Retreat, has its own page with the year, a short description, and key facts. A photo gallery and a written story show how the design sits in its setting.

A services list covers architectural design, interior design, project management, historic preservation, landscape design, and furniture design. Each service gets a photo and a short description.
A How It Works section walks prospective clients through 5 steps: initial consultation, design concept, construction, final walk-through, and follow-up. It sets expectations for working with Archies.

The blog publishes articles on lighting design in interior spaces, sustainable homes, and functional home offices. They give visitors a reason to stay and show how the firm thinks.
Start a project buttons in the header and hero lead to a form that asks for name, email, phone number, and a message. A newsletter sign-up keeps interested visitors in touch.

A website for a high-end architecture and interior design firm. It includes a homepage, an about page, services, a project portfolio with detailed project pages, pricing, the Design Insights blog, and an inquiry form. DeveloperLook designed desktop, tablet, and phone layouts, all built around large project photography that still loads quickly.
Prospective clients of the firm, homeowners among them. They come to judge the quality of Archies' work, so the site leads with large project photos. It then explains the services and the 5-step process. A Start a project button in the header keeps the next step close for visitors who are ready to talk.
By compressing and lazy loading them. We compressed the high-resolution images without visible quality loss, and each one loads only as a visitor scrolls toward it. The first screen appears quickly, slower connections aren't stuck waiting on the whole gallery, and the photos keep the clarity an architecture firm needs.
Through featured work on the homepage, a portfolio page, and a page for every project. The portfolio page lists architecture, interior, and landscape categories. A project page, such as Lakefront Retreat, shows the year, a short description, key facts, a gallery, and a written story about the design.
