About the project

Edutech Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built Edutech, an e-learning platform for students and educators. Learners browse and buy courses on the website, while educators manage content, track progress, and monitor performance in a dashboard.

Edutech is an e-learning platform for 2 groups: students who take online courses and the educators who create and run them. The project covered a learner website and a dashboard for admins and mentors. The goal was online education that is easy to reach and interactive.

The home page leads with the headline "Enhance Your Skills To Propel Your Career Forward". Below it come course categories, popular courses, a community section, student reviews, and an FAQ. The courses page lists every course as a card. Each course page holds the lessons, the mentor, a summary of what the course includes, and a Buy Now button. A separate Shop page sells books through a cart and a 3-step checkout.

The dashboard runs the platform behind the scenes. Admins see revenue, transactions, courses, and students at a glance. From one sidebar they manage users, courses, assignments, certificates, payments, and reports. Mentors get their own view with their courses, a calendar of live sessions and deadlines, and an earnings page.

The learner screens come in phone and tablet layouts. The gallery also shows the Edutech brand in use: a logo and icon set, business cards, a billboard, and social media posts.

Challenge and solution

What Edutech Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

Edutech had to serve 2 distinct groups of users on one platform.

Students wanted simplicity, motivation, and a clear view of their progress, while educators needed advanced tools for course creation, assessments, and analytics. A large volume of educational content had to follow a structured, intuitive flow as users and courses grew. Security and performance mattered too, because the platform held sensitive learning data.

Our solution

DeveloperLook built a modern e-learning website with clear navigation and personal dashboards for learners.

Progress indicators and badges added game elements that encourage students to keep learning. For educators and admins, we built a dashboard for course management, reports, and analytics. We also built in strong security and a scalable architecture to keep the platform reliable for learners and educators.

What we built

Features We Built for Edutech

  • Course catalog with filters

The courses page shows each course as a card with a photo, category, video count, student count, star rating, and price. Learners filter the list and sort it by popularity.

  • Course pages with lessons

Each course page has Overview, About Course, About Mentor, and Course Reviews tabs. The lesson list marks each lesson as playable or locked. A side panel lists what the course includes above the Buy Now button.

  • Book shop and checkout

A Shop page sells books with stock levels and an Add to Cart button. In the cart, learners change quantities, move items to a wishlist, or apply a discount code, then check out in 3 steps.

  • Admin dashboard overview

The admin dashboard opens with cards for revenue, transactions, courses, and students. A bar chart compares enrollment by course category, and a donut chart splits users into admins, mentors, and students.

  • Student management table

The All Students screen lists each learner with courses enrolled, progress, assignments submitted, certificates earned, and status. Admins search, filter, and sort the table, then export it.

  • Course and financial reports

Course reports rank courses by enrollment and show category, average progress, rating, and mentor. Financial reports sum revenue, monthly earnings, and pending payouts above a table of transactions.

  • Mentor dashboard and earnings

Mentors get their own dashboard with courses, students, rating, and earnings. A calendar lists live sessions and deadlines, and an earnings page tracks payouts with a Request Payout button.

  • Phone and tablet layouts

The learner website has phone versions of the home page, course pages, cart, checkout, and saved addresses. Tablet mockups cover the catalog, course details, and the admin dashboard.

FAQ

Questions About the Edutech Project

  • DeveloperLook designed and built 2 connected parts. The first is a learner website with a course catalog, course pages, and a book shop with a 3-step checkout. The second is a dashboard where admins manage students, courses, payments, and reports, and where mentors follow their courses and earnings. The work also covered phone and tablet layouts.

  • Course pages have a Buy Now button, and a separate Shop page sells books. Shop items go into a cart, where learners change quantities, move items to a wishlist, or apply a discount code. Checkout then runs in 3 steps: address, payment method, and review. In the first step, learners pick a saved home or office address. A summary shows the subtotal, taxes, delivery fee, and grand total before the order goes through.

  • Admins and mentors use it. Admins see summary cards for revenue, transactions, courses, and students, then open detailed tables. They can export student lists and course reports. Mentors see their own courses, students, ratings, and earnings, plus a calendar of live sessions and deadlines. They can upload lessons, add new courses, and request payouts.

  • Edutech tracks progress for every student. In the dashboard, each student's row shows courses enrolled, progress as a percentage, assignments submitted, and certificates earned. Progress indicators and badges give learners a visible sense of how far they've come. The course reports add average progress for each course, so educators can compare courses.

  • Yes. The learner website was designed for desktop, tablet, and phone screens. The phone layouts cover the home page, course pages, the cart, checkout, and saved addresses. The tablet mockups show the home page, the course catalog, course details, and the admin dashboard with its course reports.

  • Yes. Edutech combined paid courses, a book shop, and separate dashboards for admins and mentors. We can scope any mix of those parts for your platform. If you start smaller, mentor payouts, student exports, and course reports can follow in a later phase. A first call covers your courses, your educators, and how you get paid, so the plan fits your model.
