About the project

Moneywish Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built Moneywish, a mobile finance management app with a companion web dashboard. People use it to check their balance, track spending, send and receive money, split bills, and manage savings goals.

Moneywish is a mobile finance management app that gives people one place to handle their money. From a single hub, users view their account balance, track spending, send and receive funds, and manage savings goals. The app pairs these everyday banking features with a clean, minimal design in teal and white.

The home screen greets the user by name and shows the balance first. Top up, transfer, withdraw, and more actions sit right below it. A Send Again row keeps recent contacts close, and a savings section follows. Transfers move from a contact search to a confirmation screen and a receipt. Top-ups take a new card or a bank transfer, and a mobile top-up screen recharges a phone number. Bill Pay covers electricity, water, internet, and television, and lets users split a bill with friends.

Statistics screens chart total spending by week, month, or year and rank the top spending categories. A history screen groups transactions in a category chart, with filters for category, dates, and price range. My Budget tracks goals such as study, house, travel, and car with progress bars, and My Cards holds physical and virtual cards. Notifications confirm completed transactions.

A companion web dashboard shows the main and secondary accounts with circular balance indicators, along with recent transactions, cards, recipients, and integrations. The brand carries over to an app icon, social media posts, and a billboard.

Challenge and solution

What Moneywish Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

Moneywish needed a finance app that stayed simple while offering the features people expect from modern money management.

The app had to bring balances, spending, transfers, and savings goals into one central hub. Every transaction had to feel smooth and secure, because people trust the app with sensitive financial information.

Our solution

We designed Moneywish around simplicity and clarity, with a user-centered approach to every screen.

The home screen puts the balance first, with top up, transfer, and withdraw buttons right below it. Bill splitting, spending statistics, savings goals, and card management sit behind clear, predictable navigation. We built in encryption and secure authentication to protect user data and transactions.

What we built

Features We Built for Moneywish

  • Balance-first home screen

The home screen opens on the account balance, with top up, transfer, withdraw, and more buttons below it. A Send Again row of recent contacts and a savings section sit underneath.

  • Transfers to contacts

Users search their contacts, pick a recipient, and check the amount on a confirmation screen. A receipt then lists the payment status, funding source, account number, and time of the transfer.

  • Card and bank top-ups

Users add money with a new debit or credit card, or by bank transfer from a list of banks. A separate mobile top-up screen recharges a phone number picked from contacts.

  • Bill pay and splitting

Bill Pay covers electricity, water, internet, and television bills. Users split a total bill with friends and tap Split Now, with a Nearby Friends list and this month's bills shown below.

  • Spending statistics and history

Charts show total spending by week, month, or year and rank the top categories. The history screen groups transactions in a category chart, with filters for category, dates, and price range.

  • Budget and savings goals

My Budget lists goals such as study, house, travel, and car, each with its own amount and progress bar. Users start a new goal from the same screen.

  • Physical and virtual cards

My Cards keeps physical and virtual cards on separate tabs, showing the card balance and each card's last digits. Users add a new card without leaving the screen.

  • Companion web dashboard

A web dashboard shows the main and secondary accounts with circular balance indicators, plus recent transactions, cards, recipients, and integrations. Users send or request money from its card panel.

Questions About the Moneywish Project

  • A mobile finance management app with a companion web dashboard. Users view their balance, track spending, send and receive money, pay and split bills, and manage savings goals and cards. The design keeps these banking features in a clean, minimal layout, so the app stays easy to read while it covers everyday money tasks.

  • Users pick a contact, confirm the amount, and get a receipt. The Select Contact screen searches the user's contacts, and the Confirm screen shows the recipient, amount, and date before the money moves. A success screen then lists the payment status, funding source, and account details. A notification confirms the transaction.

  • Through spending charts, a category history, and budget goals. The Statistics screen switches between weekly, monthly, and yearly views and ranks the top spending categories. The history screen groups transactions by category, with filters for dates and price range. My Budget shows progress toward goals such as study, house, travel, and car.

  • Users open Bill Pay, check the total bill, and split it with friends. The screen shows the current balance above the bill, the friends in the split, and a Split Now button. Shortcuts cover electricity, water, internet, and television bills. The screen also lists Nearby Friends, and This Month shows recent bills.

  • Yes. The project includes the Moneywish mobile app and a companion web dashboard for larger screens. The dashboard shows the main and secondary accounts with circular balance indicators. • Yes. DeveloperLook designs and builds mobile finance apps with balances, transfers, top-ups, bill payments, budgets, and card management, plus a web dashboard when your users need one. We start from the money tasks your customers repeat most and shape the home screen and navigation around them. Encryption and secure authentication are planned from the start.
