About the project
DeveloperLook designed and built Petopia, a pet care app where owners book vet appointments, adopt pets, and find animals nearby on a map. Pet services and supplies sit on the same home screen.
Petopia is a mobile app that makes pet care, veterinary access, and pet adoption easier for pet owners. It brings professional medical services, pet care, adoption listings, and nearby pet discovery into one app. The brief asked for a clean, modern interface with a friendly look, so owners feel they can trust it with their pet's care.
The home screen greets the owner by name and shows pet care providers with their ratings, an adoption banner, and pets nearby. A second view groups the app into four categories: appointments, pet services, pet supplies, and lost and found. Below sit pet picks that filter by rabbit, dog, cat, hamster, and bird.
For vet care, owners browse doctor profiles with specializations and ratings, then book a voice call, video call, or checkup in a chosen slot. Checkout shows the price, an app fee, and a coupon field. For adoption, pet pages show breed, weight, temperament, and age, with the current owner's contact buttons and an Adopt Now button. A shipping screen then follows each pet on its way to the new home.
The project also covered the Petopia brand: a logo, an app icon, an icon set, signage, social media posts, and a billboard. Each one carries the app's warm orange look.
Challenge and solution
The challenge
Each of these services brings its own screens, choices, and providers. Putting them side by side risked a crowded app that showed owners too many options at once. Vet bookings also had to earn the owner's trust.
Our solution
Verified doctor profiles show each vet's specialization and rating, which builds trust in the veterinary side. Booking, checkout, adoption, and delivery tracking each follow a short, step-by-step flow.
What we built
The home screen sorts Petopia into appointments, pet services, pet supplies, and lost and found. Pet picks below it filter by rabbit, dog, cat, hamster, and bird.
Each doctor profile shows the vet's specialization, years of work, patient count, rating, and morning and evening hours. Chat and Make Appointment buttons sit at the bottom.
Owners choose a voice call, video call, or checkup. Then they pick a date and a morning or afternoon slot and confirm with Book Appointment.
Checkout sums up the doctor, service, date, time, price, and app fee, adds a coupon code field, and leads straight to payment selection.
Provider pages describe each pet care business and list its services, such as grooming and hygiene, boarding and daycare, and veterinary care. A Consultation button closes the page.
The Nearby screen draws a search radius around the user and lists the pets found there by distance, gender, and age. Filters cover location, category, gender, and age.
Pet pages show photos, breed, weight, temperament, and age, with a gallery and a location map. Chat and call buttons reach the current owner, and Adopt Now starts the adoption.
My Shipping groups pet deliveries as pending, in process, or delivered. The detail view maps the route from the owner's house with timed progress steps.

An about section and the morning and evening hours follow. Owners can open a chat from the profile before they tap Make Appointment.
Owners find pets on the home screen, in search, or on the nearby map, then open a pet's page. It shows photos, breed, weight, temperament, age, a description, a gallery, and the pet's location, with chat and call buttons for the current owner. Adopt Now starts the adoption, and My Shipping follows the pet's delivery.
Yes. The Nearby screen places the user at the center of a map with a search radius. It lists the pets found in that area, with distance, gender, and age. A Filter Pets sheet narrows results by location, category, gender, and age, and owners save the pets they like to a favorites list.
