About the project

UniSkill Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built UniSkill, a mobile-first e-learning app with a web admin dashboard. The app delivers short, structured courses, interactive lessons, and personalized learning paths for people building new skills.

UniSkill is a mobile-first e-learning app that helps people build new skills wherever they are. It delivers short, structured courses, interactive lessons, and personalized learning paths. The client wanted learning that fits into a busy day, with measurable outcomes and easy access to knowledge.

Learners are the main users. They sign up with email, Facebook, or Google, pick their subjects, and land on a home screen built around today's classes. From there they join live classes, browse premium courses, open course pages with video previews, and take test exams. Test reports and progress figures on My courses show how far each learner has come, and a class calendar lists upcoming sessions.

The app also handles payments and messaging. Learners pay for a course with PayPal, a credit card, or Google, and a chat screen includes voice and video call buttons.

Behind the app sits a web admin dashboard for the UniSkill team. It tracks revenue, transactions, courses, and students, and it splits users into admins, mentors, and students. Separate pages cover student management, courses, course reports, financial reports, and earnings. The gallery also shows the UniSkill brand applied to an app icon, an ID badge, and a billboard.

Challenge and solution

What UniSkill Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

UniSkill needed an interface that worked well on a phone and still offered rich learning features.

Engagement was the second concern, because mobile learning often sees high drop-off rates. The app also had to carry videos, quizzes, and interactive exercises while staying smooth on different devices and screen sizes.

Our solution

DeveloperLook designed a clean mobile interface with minimal steps between finding a course and starting to learn.

Progress tracking, achievements, and reminders added gamification to support engagement. We tuned video streaming and interactive quizzes to run smoothly on limited bandwidth. We also added a recommendation system to suggest courses based on each learner's progress and interests.

What we built

Features We Built for UniSkill

  • Learner home screen

The home screen greets the learner by name and counts down to the next live class with a Join class button. Below it sit today's classes, a test exam prompt, and premium courses.

  • Sign-up and subject choice

New learners sign up with a name, email, and password, or continue with Facebook or Google. They then pick the subjects they want to study, such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Math.

  • Course pages with previews

Each course page opens with a video preview and tabs for details, mentors, and subjects. It lists live classes, class length, expert mentors, and tests, with the price and a Get admitted button.

  • Test reports

After a test, the report shows a score ring split into correct, incorrect, and skipped answers. Totals for questions, answers, skips, and time taken follow, with a See the answer button below.

  • Class calendar and progress

A monthly calendar marks class days and lists each session by subject, chapter, and time. The My courses screen shows a progress percentage for every subject the learner follows.

  • In-app course payments

Learners pay for a course with PayPal, a credit card, or Google. The card form can save details for later payments and shows the total price above the Proceed to pay button.

  • Chat with call options

A one-to-one messaging screen shows whether the other person is online. Voice and video call buttons sit in the header, and learners type replies in a message bar with an add button.

  • Web admin dashboard

The web dashboard shows revenue, transactions, courses, and students, charts enrollment by category, and splits users into admins, mentors, and students. Menus cover assignments, certificates, payments, and reports.

Questions About the UniSkill Project

  • DeveloperLook designed and built the UniSkill e-learning app and its web admin dashboard. The app covers sign-up, subject choice, a learner home screen, course pages, live classes, test reports, a class calendar, payments, and chat. The dashboard gives the UniSkill team revenue, enrollment, and user figures, plus pages for students, courses, reports, and earnings.

  • UniSkill is for learners who want to build new skills in short sessions that fit a busy schedule. The screens show school subjects such as Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math, live courses for Class 9, 10, and 11, and premium courses led by mentors. The web dashboard serves the UniSkill team, and its user chart splits accounts into admins, mentors, and students.

  • UniSkill encourages engagement with gamification and clear next steps. The app includes progress tracking, achievements, and reminders, and My courses shows a progress percentage for each subject. The home screen counts down to the next live class. After each test, a report shows the score and which answers were correct, incorrect, or skipped.

  • UniSkill's recommendation system suggests courses based on each learner's progress and interests. It supports the personalized learning paths at the center of the app. Learners also choose the subjects they want to study at sign-up, from Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Math. The home screen then keeps today's classes, a test exam prompt, and premium courses in one place.

  • The UniSkill learner app was designed mobile-first, with every screen laid out for smartphones. The admin dashboard is a web application that the team opens in a desktop browser. Video streaming and quizzes were tuned to run smoothly on limited bandwidth. The app was also built to perform well across different devices and screen sizes.

  • Yes. DeveloperLook can build a mobile learning app with live classes, course previews, tests, and in-app payments, plus a web admin dashboard like UniSkill's. We start with your learners' daily routine and the reports your team needs, then decide which features ship first. Contact us with your idea, and we'll talk through the scope before any build starts.
