The Problem
It shows up when ads are built by hand and inventory turns every week. Sold units keep collecting clicks, while the cars you need to move get no extra budget.
Sold units
Ads keep running for cars that already left the lot.
Sold units
Model and trim ads pause automatically once the last unit sells.
Aged stock
Cars sitting too long get the same budget as new arrivals.
Aged stock
Aged used units get their own budget and price-focused ads.
Price copy
Offer ads skip the total price shoppers are owed.
Price copy
Ad copy shows prices the way the FTC Act and state rules require.
Service bay
The service department runs no ads at all.
Service bay
Service and parts campaigns fill open bays with owners nearby.
On Saturday you sold the last white SUV in that trim. On Monday its ad is still running, and shoppers keep clicking through to a page that says no longer available. Meanwhile, aged used units get the same budget as fresh arrivals. Your service department runs no ads at all. Your offer ads quote a payment but not the total price, which California's CARS Act now requires. And the report counts leads, not the cars that sold.
We start by building your campaigns from your inventory feed. Model and trim ads pause when the last unit sells, and new arrivals go live on their own. Vehicle ads show photos and prices straight from your feed. Service and parts get their own campaigns, and price copy follows the FTC Act and your state's rules. Sold units come back from your CRM, so bidding favors buyers over browsers.
Ads built from your inventory
Model, trim, and used inventory ads follow your feed and pause when units sell.
Price copy that follows rules
Advertised prices checked against the FTC Act and state dealer ad rules before launch.
Service bays filled too
Service and parts campaigns reach nearby owners, separate from your sales budget.
Our Automotive PPC Process
You see what your current ads spend on sold and aged units before we change anything. Then you approve the campaign map and every ad, and each month you see appointments and sales.
We review your Google Ads account, inventory feed, and CRM lead stages. You get a list of ads still running for sold units, wasted searches, and a plan by department: new, used, service, and parts.
What's Included
Inventory-driven Search campaigns, vehicle ads from your feed, service and parts campaigns, rule-checked price copy, CRM sale imports, and reports split by department and rooftop.
Compare Options
OEM program vendors know co-op rules, and a generic agency can cost less. Here is how each handles your inventory, price copy, service ads, and reporting on sold units.
| Feature | DeveloperLookBest fit | OEM program vendor | Generic agency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inventory sync | Ads follow your live feed | Varies by program package | Often built by hand |
| Vehicle ads | Set up from your feed | Often included | Rarely set up |
| Price copy rules | Checked against FTC and state rules | OEM template language | Varies by account manager |
| Co-op guidelines | Followed when you use co-op | Built around the program | Often unfamiliar |
| Service department | Own campaigns and budget | Sometimes a separate package | Usually not covered |
| Bidding signal | Appointments and sold units | Leads and clicks | Form fills or clicks |
| Pricing model | Monthly fee plus ad spend | Package fee, often co-op eligible | Monthly fee or share of spend |
| Account ownership | Your dealership's account | Often the vendor's account | Varies by contract |
Projects We've Built
These are automotive websites and apps, not ad campaigns. They show the inventory browsing, model comparison, and booking flows that paid clicks should land on.

What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built websites and inventory pages for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
We plan your ads around what's on your lot and what sold last week. Your search budget should move cars and fill service bays, not promote units that are gone.
Your feed decides what we advertise each day. Sold units drop out and new arrivals go live, so shoppers land on cars they can actually buy.
Rules on advertised prices differ by state and keep changing. Your offers show the total price where the rules call for it, before any ad goes out.
If your OEM reimburses part of your ad spend, its co-op guidelines shape the copy. We keep the records your co-op claims ask for.
Clicks and leads don't make payroll. We report test drives, showroom visits, and sold units by campaign, pulled straight from your CRM.
Your dealership owns the Google Ads account, Merchant Center, and all conversion data. Switch vendors, and years of history stay with you.
If your OEM's certified program already covers your search ads well, we'll tell you. Sometimes the right fit is adding service campaigns only.

Good fit
Single-rooftop franchise dealers
You sell one brand from one rooftop, and your ads still promote units that sold days ago. You want ads that follow your feed without daily hand edits.
Independent used car dealers
Your lot turns quickly, and your last automotive dealer PPC marketing agency built ads by hand. You want ads that push aged units before they cost you.
Dealer groups with several rooftops
Your group runs several rooftops and brands from one marketing budget. You want spend and sales reported by rooftop, with co-op records kept for each.
Service managers with open bays
Your service drive has open bays midweek, and the sales team owns the ad budget. You want service and parts campaigns with a budget of their own.
Agencies with dealership clients
Your agency signs dealers who need search ads tied to live inventory, and your team hasn't run vehicle feeds. You want automotive PPC services delivered under your brand.
Not a fit
Site has no inventory feed
Your website can't export an inventory feed or show live listings. Car Dealer Website Design comes first, because inventory ads need a feed and matching pages.
Ad spend under $950 monthly
You can spend less than $950 a month on clicks after our fee. At that spend, Car Dealership SEO Services and a complete Business Profile tend to pay back faster.
Leads aren't followed up
Your leads sit for a day because nobody owns follow-up. Car Dealer CRM Setup fixes routing and tasks before more ad spend makes sense.
Private sellers and brokers
You sell cars privately or as a broker without a dealership. Google's vehicle ads accept dealers and similar sellers, so this setup won't fit you.

Pricing
These are monthly starting points in USD. Your rooftops, departments, and inventory feed setup shape the plan, and you get a fixed proposal after a free account audit.
For Agencies
You own the client relationship. We supply the dealer campaign work: inventory-driven Search ads, vehicle ads from the feed, service campaigns, price copy checks, and CRM sale imports. Reports carry your logo, and the dealer hears from you.
White label: your client only ever sees your brand
Send the dealer's Google Ads, Merchant Center, and inventory feed details.
We send back a plan by department with one fixed monthly fee.
Weekly management, plus reports under your agency's name for each rooftop.

The Right Technology for Your Project

DeveloperLook charges from $950 per month for Search campaigns at one rooftop, with ad spend billed to you by Google. Vehicle ads, service and parts campaigns, and sold-unit imports bring it to $1,550. Groups with up to 3 rooftops or brands start at $2,400. You get a fixed quote after a free account audit.
Most dealer accounts launch 1 to 2 weeks after the audit. Search campaigns can start sooner, while vehicle ads wait for Merchant Center to approve your feed, which can add days. Bidding on sold units takes a few months, because Google needs enough recorded sales before that signal guides bids well.
Split new models, used inventory, service, and brand searches into separate campaigns first. Build the ads from your inventory feed so prices and availability stay current, and send each click to the matching vehicle or service page. Then track test drives and sales from your CRM, not just form fills, so you can judge each campaign.
We can't rank other firms fairly, but you can test any automotive PPC agency with three questions. Does it build ads from your live inventory? Does it report sold units from your CRM? Does your dealership own the account? Ask for a sample report too. Agencies that answer all three in writing earn a place on your shortlist.
Vehicle ads are Google listings with a photo, price, mileage, and dealer name, built from a vehicle inventory feed in Merchant Center. They run through Performance Max or Standard Shopping campaigns. Google offers them fully in the US, Canada, Australia, and Japan, and in beta in some European countries. Dealers qualify, but brokers and private sellers don't.
Build the ads from your inventory feed instead of by hand. When a unit leaves the feed, its vehicle ad stops, and Search ads for that model or trim pause through feed rules or scripts. We check daily during launch that sold units drop out, then weekly, and flag feed errors like missing prices or photos.
The FTC Act bans deceptive pricing in vehicle ads nationwide, and states add their own rules. California's CARS Act, in force since October 1, 2026, requires the total price in any ad that names a specific vehicle or states an amount. The federal CARS Rule was vacated in January 2025. Your counsel has the final word on compliance.
Yes, if your service drive has open capacity, because service searches come from owners who live nearby. Oil changes, tires, brakes, and other repairs each get their own ad group, apart from the sales budget. Service ads can also reach owners of your brand who bought elsewhere and still need maintenance.
Often, but it depends on your OEM's program. Many co-op programs reimburse part of the search spend when ads follow their brand and copy guidelines. Send us your program guide, and we'll set up the copy and records to match it. Your co-op administrator still decides what qualifies for reimbursement.
Your dealership does. The Google Ads account, Merchant Center, call tracking, and every sale import are registered to your business, and we work through user access you control. If you switch providers, your campaigns, feeds, and conversion history stay right where they are, ready for whoever runs them next.
