About this set

About the Legal icons

Law firm icons that show the work you do for clients. The set covers the paperwork (Contract, NDA, Redline, Clause review), the court side (Courthouse, Gavel, Scales of justice, Evidence) and the practice side (Deadline, Billable hours, Client meeting, Privacy policy). Each one is a small scene, so a visitor sees a stamp land or a highlighter move instead of a flat symbol.

Where they fit

On a practice area page, Notary shows an embosser pressing a raised seal, which suits a page about document services. On a fees page, Billable hours moves the clock hand on and a coin lands on the stack. On an intellectual property page, Trademark pops a registered badge onto a product box. Use them beside headings, in service cards or in the steps of how you work.

One look across the set

All 24 icons share one 400 by 320 canvas, one line weight and one accent colour. Place a Gavel beside a Licensing icon and they read as one family, so your page looks planned rather than assembled from mixed sources.

From the email to your page

  1. Open the email and download the ZIP. The svg folder holds the animated icons, and preview.html shows them all moving.
  2. For a looping icon, use the file as an image: an img tag with width 240 and height 192 keeps the 5:4 frame.
  3. For hover play, accent colour and dark mode, paste the SVG markup into your page instead of linking the file.
  4. Add data-play="hover" to the svg to play it only on hover, or data-cm-play="hover" on the card around it.
  5. Set --cm-accent to your brand colour, and add data-theme="dark" on dark backgrounds.

FAQ

Questions about the Legal icons

  • Yes. You can use them on websites, apps, products and client projects, and attribution is appreciated but not required. You can't sell or share them as icons, claim them as your own or use them in a logo. The legal set follows the same terms as the rest of the Library, and the license page has the full text.

  • The Legal set has 24 icons. They arrive over 3 weeks, 8 a week, and the first batch comes as soon as your email is confirmed. The set covers contracts and signatures, courtrooms and evidence, and deadlines and billing, so one batch at a time you build a full library for your pages.

  • Type your email into the form on this page, then confirm it from the message we send. The first batch of icons arrives straight away, and more follow each week until the set is complete. One address can follow one industry. Unsubscribe whenever you like.

  • Yes, the SVG files are fully editable in Figma, Illustrator and other vector tools. Adjust shapes, scale or colours freely. The movement is plain CSS inside the file, so an editor displays the still pose while the original SVG keeps moving on the web. GIF and PNG versions arrive in each batch too.

  • No. Each icon is a small SVG with its motion in plain CSS, with no JavaScript and no fonts to load. Visitors who have reduced motion turned on see the still pose instead. For a law firm, where a slow page costs a client enquiry, that keeps the page light.
