About the project

Doorin Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and developed Doorin, a mobile and web application for booking and managing stays. Guests plan trips, book hotels, and message hosts on their phones, while property managers track properties, tenants, and billing in a web dashboard.

Doorin is a mobile and web application that connects property managers, residents, and visitors through one secure, easy interface. The project brief described it as a property access product for residential and commercial buildings, with remote access, digital key sharing, and real-time records of entries and exits. The designs in this project cover two parts of the product: a hotel booking app for guests and a dashboard for the people who manage the properties.

The guest app, introduced as simplifying personalized hotel bookings, opens with a lodging planner: destination, trip dates, rooms, and guests, then a Check Availability button. Results list the available properties with sort, filter, and map views. Each property page shows the nightly price, rating, amenities, description, gallery, host, and location. A review step confirms the dates, guests, payment card, cancellation policy, and house rules. After booking, guests call or message the host, get directions, change guests or dates, cancel, or download a receipt.

On the web, a property management dashboard tracks total properties, units, tenants, and invoices, with rent statistics and an income and expense chart. Its side menu covers properties, tenants, the billing center, expenses, documents, listings, a notice board, maintenance, reports, agreements, and subscription history. The brand also appears on social posts and a billboard that reads Vacation Starts When You Book with Doorin.

Challenge and solution

What Doorin Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

Doorin had to serve several user roles in one product while keeping strict security in place.

Guests, hosts, and property managers each needed to find their way with ease, yet sensitive access data had to stay private. Real-time data added another layer of complexity on top of that balance.

Our solution

We built a clean, role-based UI/UX system that adapts to what each type of user needs.

Guests get a booking flow from the first search to the receipt, and managers get a dashboard for properties, tenants, and billing. Encryption and multi-layer authentication protect sensitive access data, and real-time notifications keep every user informed.

What we built

Features We Built for Doorin

  • Lodging planner

The home screen asks for a destination, trip dates on a calendar, rooms, and guests, with adults, children, and infants counted separately. Check Availability lists the matching properties, with special offers below.

  • Sort, filter, and map views

Results show how many properties are available and let guests sort, filter, or switch to a map with property pins. Guests compare stays by price, rating, and area before opening one.

  • Property pages with host details

Each property page shows the nightly price, rating, and reviews. Amenities such as a cafe, restaurant, garden, golf course, and free Wi-Fi sit above the description, gallery, host profile, and location.

  • Booking review and payment

Before confirming, guests check the room, dates, and guests and pick a saved Visa or Mastercard or add a card. The cancellation policy and house rules, such as quiet hours, sit on the same screen.

  • Host messaging and booking tools

From a booking, guests call or message the home owner, get directions, manage guests and dates, cancel, or download a receipt. A chat screen keeps questions to the host in one thread.

  • Wishlists and reviews

Guests save properties into named wishlists, such as Bali or Trip 2024, and read the star rating and written reviews from other travelers before they choose a stay.

  • Property management dashboard

Managers see total properties, units, tenants, and invoices, rent statistics, and income and expense history. Separate pages handle property details, tenant profiles, the billing center, documents, maintenance, and agreements.

FAQ

Questions About the Doorin Project

  • A mobile and web product with two sides. Guests use a hotel and lodging booking app to plan trips, compare properties, book, and manage their stays. Property managers use a web dashboard for properties, units, tenants, billing, expenses, and maintenance. DeveloperLook designed a role-based interface so each user sees the tools that fit their role.

  • Guests enter a destination, dates, rooms, and guests, then check availability. They sort, filter, or browse a map of results and open a property page with amenities, a gallery, and host details. A review screen confirms the dates, guests, payment card, cancellation policy, and house rules, and the stay then appears under active bookings.

  • Yes. Every booking has buttons to call or message the home owner and to get directions to the property. The chat screen keeps the conversation in one thread, so a guest can ask about details such as noise levels before arrival. Links to Doorin support and the help center sit on the same booking screen.

  • With a role-based interface, encryption, and multi-layer authentication. The project brief called for strict security across every user role, so sensitive access data is encrypted and protected by more than one authentication step. Real-time notifications keep guests, hosts, and managers informed of changes as they happen.

  • A summary of total properties, units, tenants, and invoices, with rent statistics and an income and expense chart. The side menu leads to property and tenant details, a billing center, expenses, documents, nearby locations, and listings. It also holds a notice board, maintenance, reports, agreements, subscription history, settings, and the manager's profile.

  • Yes. DeveloperLook designs and builds booking apps like Doorin, with availability search, property pages, a review and payment step, and host messaging. A web dashboard can sit behind them for the team that runs the properties. We start from your properties, your guests, and the roles in your business, then design the flows each role needs.
