About the project

TailWag Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built TailWag, a pet care app that brings adoption, veterinary care, grooming, training, and pet supplies together, with location-based recommendations for nearby clinics.

TailWag is a mobile app for pet owners and animal lovers. It brings pet care, adoption, and related services into a single app, from veterinary care and grooming to training and pet supplies. The goal was to make it easier to care for furry, feathered, or small companions, whether that's a dog, a cat, a cockatiel, or a hamster.

The home screen opens with the user's address and an invitation to adopt, love, and care for pets today. Below it sit service shortcuts for adoption, training, supplies, and more, followed by pets near the user. A full Pet Services screen lists eight categories, from checkups and insurance to fur care, playtime, and grooming.

Location shapes much of the app. Users set their location or pick a popular one, open a map of pet care services near them, and see the distance on provider cards. Clinic pages list services, specialists, and reviews, and booking moves from a specialist to a date and a time slot.

Adoption covers dogs, cats, birds, and small pets, and pet pages name the pet's shelter. Shelter profiles show their posted pets and offer a call. After adoption, My Adoption tracks each pet's delivery on a map. We also designed the TailWag brand: logo, app icon, icon set, signage, social posts, and a billboard.

Challenge and solution

What TailWag Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

TailWag had to fit many pet services into one app while keeping it simple to use.

Adoption listings, veterinary care, grooming, and supplies each needed room, and the interface could easily feel cluttered. The app also had to earn trust by giving pet owners accurate information about pets and providers.

Our solution

We designed a clean, minimal interface that lets users move between adoption, care, and service options without confusion.

Verified providers and dependable data sources keep the information accurate, so owners make decisions about their pets with confidence. Location-based recommendations point users to nearby clinics and pet care services.

What we built

Features We Built for TailWag

  • Eight service categories

The Pet Services screen sorts care into adoption, training, supplies, checkup, insurance, fur care, playtime, and grooming. A special offer slot and recommended providers sit below.

  • Location-based clinic search

Users set their address or pick a popular location, then open a map of pet care services near them. Each provider card shows a rating and the distance.

  • Doctor availability at a glance

The Available Doctors list shows each vet's specialization, rating, and whether they can take a visit, so users skip doctors who aren't available.

  • Specialist and slot booking

Booking moves from a clinic page to a specialist list, filtered by man or woman. Then a calendar and time slots set the visit, with a date and time summary.

  • Clinic and service pages

Service Detail pages place the clinic's address on a map and show its rating, description, and services such as grooming and boarding. Specialists, reviews, and Make Appointment follow.

  • Shelter adoption listings

Pet pages for dogs, cats, birds, and small pets list characteristics and the pet's shelter. Shelter profiles show their posted pets with a Book a Call button.

  • Adoption delivery tracking

My Adoption lists each pet's status with Detail and Tracking buttons. The tracking map shows the courier, the shipping status, and a Mark Complete step.

  • Saved cards and favorites

Users add a payment card with its number, holder name, expiry date, and CVV. The pets they like go to a favorites list filtered by pet type.

FAQ

Questions About the TailWag Project

  • A pet care mobile app that combines adoption, veterinary care, grooming, training, and pet supplies. Users find nearby clinics, book specialists, adopt pets from shelters, and track deliveries. The app covers dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, and hamsters. We also designed the TailWag brand: the logo, app icon, icon set, social media posts, wall signage, and a billboard.

  • By location. Users set their address or choose a popular location, and the Pet Care screen opens a map of pet care services near them. Provider cards show a rating and the distance, and clinic pages place the address on a map, so users compare nearby options before they book.

  • From a clinic's page, users tap Make Appointment and choose a specialist. The specialist list can be filtered by man or woman and shows who is available. A calendar and time slots set the visit, and a summary of the date and time appears before the user continues.

  • Users browse pets near them or search by category, then open a pet's page. It lists characteristics such as weight and color, a description, and the shelter where the pet lives. Shelter profiles show other posted pets and a Book a Call button. After Adopt Now, My Adoption tracks the pet's delivery on a map.

  • Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, and birds appear across the app's filters and listings. Services span eight categories: adoption, training, supplies, checkup, insurance, fur care, playtime, and grooming. Clinic pages add services such as grooming and hygiene or boarding and daycare, with specialists like animal dermatologists and veterinary surgeons.

  • Yes. DeveloperLook designs and builds pet care apps with adoption listings, shelter profiles, vet booking, and location-based search for nearby clinics. We start with the services your users need most and give each one a clear place in the app. That keeps it easy to use as more services join.
