About the project

Educo Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built Educo, an e-learning mobile app for students and educators, plus a web dashboard where administrators and instructors manage courses, users, and analytics.

Educo is an e-learning platform made to keep online education engaging, personal, and accessible. The project covered 2 connected products. Students and educators use a mobile learning app. Administrators and instructors use a dashboard to manage courses, users, and analytics. DeveloperLook handled the UI/UX design and the development of both.

The app opens on a personal home screen. It greets the student by name, shows their letter grade, grade percentage, and GPA, and puts the current course under Continue Learning. From there, students search the catalog, browse subject categories, open a course page, and enroll. The My Course tab sorts courses into On Going, Favorite, and Completed, with a weekly practice score chart above the list. Students can also follow mentors, review their order history, and download payment receipts.

The dashboard uses a desktop layout. Its sidebar links to Calendars, Discussions, Live Sessions, Users, Courses, Assignments, Certificates, Payments, and Reports. The main view tracks total revenue, transactions, courses, and students. Charts show enrollment by course category and the split between admins, mentors, and students. Separate pages cover student management, course reports, and financial reports.

A shared brand system, built on the Manrope typeface and a purple palette, carries across the app, the dashboard, and Educo's marketing materials.

Challenge and solution

What Educo Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

Educo needed one user-friendly interface that served students, teachers, and admins at the same time.

Each of those roles came with its own needs and workflows. The app and the dashboard also had to sync in real time, keep data accurate, and run interactive learning features without hurting performance. Educo wanted feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement and better accessibility for every user.

Our solution

DeveloperLook designed a clean, interactive app where students browse courses, attend live sessions, take quizzes, and track their progress.

For administrators and instructors, we built a dashboard with course creation, student performance tracking, and detailed analytics. The system was built for security and smooth performance, so institutions of any size can adapt it. One brand system (Manrope type and a purple palette) kept the app and the dashboard consistent.

What we built

Features We Built for Educo

  • Personal learning home

The home screen greets each student by name and shows their letter grade, grade percentage, and GPA. A Continue Learning card shows the current course, its module count, and a progress bar.

  • Course search and categories

Students search the catalog by keyword and see results with module and enrollment counts. A category screen lists subjects such as Design, Technology, Health, Finance, and Marketing, each with its number of mentors.

  • Detailed course pages

Each course page shows the level, price, instructor, and category, then a short description. Lessons and Review tabs sit above a numbered lesson list with video counts, locked lessons, and an Enroll button.

  • Progress tracking in My Course

The My Course tab sorts courses into On Going, Favorite, and Completed. A weekly Highest Practicing Score chart sits above the list, and every course shows a completion ring and the points earned.

  • Mentor recommendations

A Mentor view recommends instructors by subject, with their specialty, rating, review count, and how many learners joined them. Students follow a mentor from the list and filter it by category.

  • Payments and order history

Students save Mastercard, PayPal, and Visa accounts for course purchases. The Order History screen lists bought courses with purchase dates, and each order opens a payment summary with a Download Receipt button.

  • Admin analytics dashboard

The web dashboard tracks total revenue, transactions, courses, and students. Charts show enrollment by course category and the split between admins, mentors, and students, and admins generate reports from the same view.

FAQ

Questions About the Educo Project

  • DeveloperLook designed and developed 2 connected products for Educo. The first is a mobile learning app where students and educators browse courses, attend live sessions, take quizzes, and track progress. The second is a web dashboard where administrators and instructors create courses, follow student performance, and read analytics.

  • Educo serves 3 groups of users. Students use the app to find courses, learn, and follow mentors. Teachers and instructors share the app and use the dashboard to create courses and track student performance. Administrators run the platform from the dashboard, with users, payments, and reports in one place. The system was built so institutions of any size can adapt it.

  • Students find a course through keyword search or the category screen, then open its course page. The page shows the level, price, instructor, and a numbered lesson list, with Lessons and Review tabs. An Enroll button sits at the bottom. Saved Mastercard, PayPal, or Visa accounts cover payment, and every purchase appears in Order History with a downloadable receipt.

  • The Educo dashboard gives administrators one view of the platform. Summary cards track total revenue, transactions, courses, and students. Charts show enrollment by course category and the split between admins, mentors, and students. Separate pages handle student management, course reports, and financial reports, and a Generate Reports button sits on the main view.

  • The Educo learning app was designed for phones, and the gallery shows it on smartphone screens. The admin and instructor dashboard uses a desktop web layout with a sidebar, summary cards, charts, and data tables. Both share the same purple brand system, so a student on a phone and an admin at a desk see one consistent product.

  • Yes. Educo paired a phone app for learners with a desktop dashboard for admins and instructors, and we can plan the same split around your courses. We'd start by mapping each role's tasks: enrolling, paying, and following mentors in the app, or checking revenue, students, and course reports on the dashboard. Send us your course list and user roles, and we'll suggest which screens to design first.
