About the project

ZapEats Project Overview

DeveloperLook designed and built ZapEats, a food delivery app that connects people with nearby restaurants through clear food categories, daily offers, a simple cart and checkout, and live driver tracking.

ZapEats is a food delivery app built to make ordering food online personal and efficient. It connects users with nearby restaurants and a wide range of cuisines and meals, with one clear path from browsing to checkout. DeveloperLook designed and developed the app, the restaurant dashboard behind it, and the ZapEats brand.

The home screen sets the delivery address, then shows special offers and the main food categories: hamburgers, pizza, noodles, meat, vegetables, desserts, and drinks, with a More Category screen of 24 categories in all. Category pages list restaurants with distance, rating, and delivery fee, plus filter, sort, promo, and self pick-up options. Dish pages show reviews, distance, delivery fee, and available offers. The cart and order summary list every item clearly, and after checkout a live map follows the driver to the door.

Offers run through the whole app: a special offers page, claimable vouchers for new users, free delivery, and special days, and recommendations for each user. An orders screen splits active, completed, and cancelled orders with Leave a Review and Order Again buttons, and a wallet holds a balance that can be topped up. The restaurant dashboard covers orders, customers, analytics, menus, categories, and tables, and the full design runs to more than 31 pages.

Challenge and solution

What ZapEats Needed and How We Built It

The challenge

ZapEats had to look appealing and still work hard.

The app had to manage real-time restaurant data such as distance, availability, and pricing while loading fast, and stay intuitive for first-time customers and regular foodies alike. Secure payments and an engaging experience built on offers and categories were also essential.

Our solution

We gave ZapEats a streamlined design and a well-structured layout.

Food is grouped into clear categories such as hamburgers, pizza, noodles, meat, vegetables, desserts, and drinks, so users find what they crave quickly. Special offers and discounts sit in prominent places to encourage repeat orders, and the cart and order details are easy to read.

What we built

Features We Built for ZapEats

  • Clear food categories

The home screen shows eight main categories with icons, and a More Category screen lists 24 in all, from sushi and tacos to pancakes and ice cream, so users jump straight to a craving.

  • Restaurant lists with filters

Each category lists restaurants with distance, rating, review count, and delivery fee, with filter, sort, promo, and self pick-up chips to narrow the choice.

  • Offers and vouchers

A special offers page stacks daily discounts, and an offers screen lists claimable vouchers such as a new user promo, free delivery, extra savings, and special Friday deals.

  • Dish pages

Dish pages show the rating and review count, the distance, the delivery fee, and any available offers, followed by more dishes picked for the user in a For You row.

  • Cart and checkout

The cart lists every dish with its item count and distance. Checkout confirms the delivery address, lets users add items to the order summary, and shows the total on the Place Order button.

  • Live driver tracking

After ordering, a map follows the driver's route to the restaurant and on to the customer, with the driver's name, rating, and plate, and buttons to call or message them.

  • Orders and reviews

An orders screen splits active, completed, and cancelled orders. Completed orders offer Leave a Review and Order Again, and a rating screen asks how the delivery went.

  • Wallet with top up

A wallet card shows the user's balance with a Top Up button, beside saved Visa and Mastercard details, so paying for repeat orders takes fewer steps.

FAQ

Questions About the ZapEats Project

  • A food delivery app that connects users with nearby restaurants, plus a restaurant dashboard and the ZapEats brand. The app covers food categories, restaurant lists, offers, dish pages, cart, checkout, live driver tracking, order history, reviews, and a wallet. The dashboard handles orders, customers, analytics, menus, categories, and tables.

  • Offers appear on the home screen, on a special offers page with daily discounts, and on an offers screen where users claim vouchers such as a new user promo, free delivery, or a special Friday deal. Promo tags also mark restaurants with active deals in category lists.

  • Once an order is placed, a map shows the driver's route to the restaurant and on to the delivery address. The screen names the driver, shows their rating and vehicle plate, and has buttons to call, message, or cancel. A rating screen follows once the food arrives.

  • First-time customers get clear categories, a simple cart, and a new user promo. Regulars get recommendations, a saved home address, an Order Again button on completed orders, and a wallet balance they can top up, so repeat orders take fewer steps.

  • Yes. The restaurant dashboard shows key figures at a glance, then covers the order list and order details with a status timeline, customers, analytics, menu lists, categories, and tables. The full design, app and dashboard together, runs to more than 31 pages.

  • Yes. DeveloperLook designs and builds food delivery apps with categories, restaurant listings, offers, cart, checkout, payments, and live driver tracking, plus a dashboard for restaurants. We start with how your customers find food and how your drivers deliver it, then design the app around both.
