The Problem
It shows up when a couple or client finds you on Instagram, taps through on a phone, and waits for a gallery of full-size images to load.
01 · Slow galleries
Full-size images stall the home page on phones.
Resized WebP and AVIF images load as visitors scroll.
02 · Empty inquiries
Inquiries arrive with no date, venue, or guest count.
The form asks the date, venue, and package before it sends.
03 · Price questions
Every lead asks how much before anything else.
An investment page shows your packages and starting prices up front.
04 · Mixed work
Weddings, headshots, and pets share one long gallery.
Galleries are grouped by genre, led by the work you want more of.
A couple finds your reel on Instagram and taps the link in your bio. Your home page loads a slideshow of 40 full-size images, and their phone stalls on the first one. They give up and check the next photographer. The few who reach your contact form send a message that says only "How much?" with no date, venue, or guest count. You reply three times before you know if you're even free. Your best work didn't get a fair look.
We start with how your images travel: from a Lightroom export to a phone on a slow connection. Every gallery gets resized, compressed versions in WebP and AVIF, loaded as visitors scroll. Galleries are grouped by the work you want more of. An investment page answers the price question up front, and the inquiry form asks for the date, venue, and package. You reply to bookings, not to "How much?"
Galleries that load fast
Responsive WebP and AVIF images with lazy loading, tested on a mid-range phone, not a studio monitor.
Inquiries that arrive complete
Date, venue, package, and budget questions on the form, sent straight to your studio CRM.
Investment page up front
Packages and starting prices explained, so the people who inquire are already a fit.
Our Photography Website Design Process
You approve the gallery plan and image selection, the investment page copy, a clickable design, the tested staging site, and the launch plan.
We look at your current site, your best-selling packages, and where your inquiries come from today. You get a gallery plan, a page list, and a fixed quote. If your gallery platform's template already covers you, we'll tell you before we quote.
What's Included
A custom website design, photography galleries by genre, an investment page, a complete inquiry form, on-page SEO for every gallery, and accounts in your name.

Projects We've Built
A photography portfolio with its own brand identity, two interior design studios, and an artist's shop. Each one is built around large, carefully presented images.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built websites for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
Website design for photography business owners comes down to the images. These habits keep your galleries sharp, fast, and true to how you edited them.
We export and serve images in sRGB, so skin tones look on phones the way they looked in Lightroom. A wrong color profile makes good edits look off.
We test every gallery in PageSpeed Insights and on a mid-range phone, not a studio monitor. Slow galleries lose the visitors who matter most.
We only publish client galleries you have permission to show. A model release or contract clause should cover every face on your site.
If your gallery platform's template does the job for your bookings, we'll tell you before we quote. Plenty of part-time shooters don't need more.
Right-click blocking doesn't stop screenshots, so we add subtle watermarks to previews only when you want them. A portfolio should look clean, not defensive.
Your domain, hosting, and original image files stay in your accounts. If you switch platforms later, your galleries and their links come with you.

Good fit
Wedding and elopement photographers
You book a year ahead, and your wedding photography website design still shows the same three couples from your first season.
Portrait and family photographers
You run mini-sessions every season, and parents text you the same questions about outfits, locations, and pricing every time.
Commercial and product photographers
Your clients are marketing teams who want to see work in their industry, your usage terms, and a fast way to request a quote.
Photographers outgrowing a gallery template
Your portfolio sits on a gallery platform's template that looks like many others, and your form doesn't ask the date or venue.
Studios with associate photographers
You run a team of shooters, and couples want to see each photographer's style before choosing a package and a date.
Not a fit
Budget under $1,200
Your budget is under $1,200 and you shoot part-time. A gallery platform's built-in website template is the better start until bookings grow.
Real estate photography
You shoot listings for agents and need order forms and delivery links. Our Real Estate Photography Website page is built for that work.
Studio software first
You need contracts, invoices, and booking workflows more than a new site. CRM for Photographers covers that setup instead.
Monthly SEO only
Your site works, and you want monthly SEO to rank for local searches. That's an ongoing SEO program, not a website design project.

FAQ
Straight answers on cost, timing, galleries, speed, search, and how a photography site connects to your studio tools.

Our photography sites start at $1,200 for up to 8 pages, 6 fast galleries, an investment page, and a complete inquiry form. Studio sites with location pages, a shoot blog, and a CRM-connected form start at $2,800. Studios selling prints or showing associate photographers start at $5,200. Gallery platform templates cost less up front but give you less control.
Most photography sites launch in 3 to 6 weeks. A portfolio site takes about 3 weeks once you've chosen your images, and a print shop or associate pages add 2 to 3 weeks. Picking the final images is usually the slowest part, so we help you cut each gallery early.
Design it around the work you want more of. Lead with one genre, keep 20 to 40 images per gallery, and use white space so nothing competes with the photos. Whether you hire a photography website designer or build it yourself, add an investment page and an inquiry form that asks the date and venue.
Decide which clients you want, then build the pages that win them over. That means galleries of that work, an about page with your face, an investment page, and a contact form. Register a domain in your business name, choose a platform you can update, and connect the form to your studio CRM.
Pick a platform first: a gallery service for convenience, Squarespace for simplicity, or WordPress for control. Then export images at web sizes, not full resolution, and write a short title and alt text for each gallery. Uploading full-size camera files is the most common cause of slow galleries we see.
It needs fast galleries by genre and an about page with your photo. Add an investment page with packages, an inquiry form that asks the right questions, and clear links to client galleries. Reviews from past clients help too, as long as they're real and you have permission to show them.
We serve every image in several sizes, in WebP and AVIF, so a phone downloads a small file and a desktop a larger one. Images below the first screen load as visitors scroll. We keep sliders and heavy scripts off gallery pages and test each one in PageSpeed Insights on a mid-range phone.
Start with the basics on every page: a descriptive title, a meta description, alt text, and readable file names for each gallery. Add location pages for the venues and areas you shoot, a fast mobile experience, and a Google Business Profile. Ongoing SEO work, like local links and content, is a separate monthly program.
Yes. Client proofing stays on the gallery platform you already use, linked from a clients page, so we don't rebuild what works. The inquiry form sends each lead to your studio CRM, such as HoneyBook or Dubsado, through its form embed or Zapier. Contracts and invoices stay in that CRM.
You do. Your domain, hosting, and every original image stay in your accounts, and you get all logins at handover. Fixes and questions are covered for 30, 60, or 90 days, by plan. After that, you add galleries yourself, or a care plan keeps updates and backups running.
