The challenge
Coffee lovers struggled to find the right beans, brewing methods, and techniques for their taste.
The specialty coffee market was growing fast, but no single digital product connected drinkers with the shops and beans that suit them.
Mobile Appfor Coffee Break
A mobile app project in food & beverage, delivered by DeveloperLook.
About the project
DeveloperLook designed and built Coffee Break, a mobile app where coffee lovers find nearby coffee shops, filter beans by origin, customize drinks, choose a grind, and check out with delivery.
Coffee Break is a mobile app for coffee enthusiasts and casual drinkers alike. It brings personalized coffee recommendations, brewing guides, and a marketplace for specialty coffee beans and equipment into one place. DeveloperLook designed and developed the app, along with the Coffee Break brand that runs through every screen.
The app opens with an onboarding screen and sign-in through Google, Facebook, Apple, or email. The home screen lists coffee shops near the user, with tabs for single origin, blends, and roasted coffee, and a search by shop or brand. Filters sort shops by best rated nearby or newest, and narrow coffee by origin, such as Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Burundi, or Brazil.
Each shop page shows its rating, roasting, price per kilo, and delivery time, with best sellers, today's coffee, and a menu of drinks. Drink pages let users pick the beans, cup size, and roast strength, and bean pages offer grinds for a French press, espresso, or pot, or whole beans. A cart and checkout handle the delivery address, saved cards, and an optional courier tip. A profile holds past orders, payment methods, notifications, FAQs, and a dark mode switch.
Challenge and solution
The challenge
The specialty coffee market was growing fast, but no single digital product connected drinkers with the shops and beans that suit them.
Our solution
AI-driven recommendations suggest beans and brewing techniques based on the user's preferences, and a brewing guide library explains how to make them. Nearby shops, origin filters, and a short path from drink to checkout turn those suggestions into an order.
What we built
The home screen lists nearby coffee shops with ratings, delivery fees, and delivery times, plus tabs for single origin, blends, and roasted coffee and a search by shop or brand.
A filter sheet sorts shops by best rated nearby, honorable mentions, or newest, and narrows coffee by origin, from Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and Guatemala to Costa Rica, Burundi, and Brazil.
Each shop page shows its rating, roasting, price per kilo, and delivery time, followed by best sellers, today's coffee, and a menu of espresso, latte, and cappuccino with prices.
Drink pages let users choose the beans, a small, medium, or large cup with its price, and a roast from light to strong, then set the quantity and add the drink to the cart.
Bean pages offer grinds for a French press, espresso machine, or pot, or whole beans, so buyers get coffee that is ready for the way they brew at home.
The cart lists each drink with its size and beans. Checkout confirms the delivery address and saved card, shows the delivery fee, and offers an optional tip for the courier.
My Orders groups past orders by date, and a payment methods screen stores Visa and Mastercard cards, so repeat buyers don't enter their details again for every order.
Users sign in with Google, Facebook, Apple, or email. The profile holds orders, personal details, payment methods, notifications, FAQs, and a dark mode switch for evening browsing.

A mobile app for ordering specialty coffee and beans from nearby coffee shops, with the Coffee Break brand around it. Users find shops, filter coffee by origin, customize drinks, choose a grind for beans, and check out with delivery. The project also covered the logo, app icon, icon set, signage, posters, and social media designs.
It uses AI-driven recommendations based on each user's preferences. The app suggests coffee beans and brewing techniques that suit their taste, and a brewing guide library explains how to brew them. Filters by origin and shop rating help users explore beyond the suggestions and find new shops nearby.
Yes. Shop menus list drinks such as espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino, and shop pages also sell beans. Drinks are customized by beans, cup size, and roast. Beans are bought by grind (French press, espresso, pot, or whole beans), and both go into one cart and one checkout.
Each shop card shows a delivery fee and an estimated delivery window. At checkout the user confirms the delivery address and payment card, sees the cart total with the delivery fee, and can add a tip for the courier before placing the order. A confirmation screen thanks them once the order is in.
The app was designed for iOS and Android phones: its launch billboard carries App Store and Google Play badges. Screens follow standard phone layouts with a bottom navigation bar for location, orders, cart, and profile, and the profile includes a dark mode switch.
Yes. DeveloperLook designs and builds mobile ordering apps for coffee shops, roasters, and marketplaces: shop listings, product customization, cart, checkout, delivery, and order history. We start with how your customers choose their coffee, then design the screens and the brand around that path.
