The Problem
Toast holds your sales, labor, and menu. The trouble starts when your payroll, your books, your delivery apps, and your marketing each need that data and somebody moves it by hand.
Weekly books
Sales totals get retyped into QuickBooks every Monday.
Weekly books
An accounting partner or custom sync posts daily sales without retyping.
Tip payouts
Managers split tips in a spreadsheet for every shift.
Tip payouts
A tip partner reads hours and sales from Toast and calculates payouts.
Menu drift
Delivery apps show old prices after a menu change.
Menu drift
Menu changes flow from Toast to connected delivery apps.
Guest marketing
Your email platform can't see who ordered what.
Guest marketing
Order events reach your email platform so campaigns match real orders.
It's Monday morning and your manager is exporting last week's Toast sales into a spreadsheet. Then she retypes the totals into QuickBooks and splits tips by hand for 22 servers. Meanwhile the DoorDash menu still shows last month's prices. Your email platform has no idea who ordered the new brisket. The inventory count in another system disagrees with what Toast sold. That's most of a day, every week, spent copying numbers Toast already has.
We start with a map of where your Toast data needs to go: your books, payroll, tips, delivery apps, marketing, and inventory. Then you get partner integrations from Toast's marketplace wherever a good one exists, set up and tested properly. Where none fits, we build a custom sync on Toast's APIs within the access Toast grants you. Your numbers move on a schedule, not on Monday mornings.
Partners chosen with care
You see the partner apps for each job compared before you buy, so you pay for one, not three.
Tested before service
Test orders, test exports, and menu checks run before any integration touches a live shift.
Custom syncs on Toast APIs
Where no partner fits, we build on the access Toast grants your locations.
Our Toast Integrations Process
You approve which integrations to buy and which to build before anything is connected, and you see test results before any connection runs during service.
We list every system that needs Toast data, how often, and who moves it today. You get a written plan that names partner integrations to buy and custom syncs worth building.
What's Included
Your project covers the data map, partner selection, setup and testing, menu and account mapping, any custom syncs on Toast's APIs, and a runbook your managers can follow.
Compare Options
Adding one partner app yourself in Toast Web is free and often enough. Here is where each route fits, and when help choosing among Toast integration partners pays for itself.

Projects We've Built
DineCraft, Cheffest, Nicefin, and Foodies are restaurant products we designed and built, with dashboards for orders, menus, staff, and sales. None of them was a Toast project.

What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built integrations, dashboards, and restaurant products for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
Your Toast data feeds payroll, taxes, and tips, where mistakes cost real money. These habits keep each connection accurate after go-live.
We only use the access Toast grants you: partner integrations, standard API access, or an approved custom integration. Nothing depends on unofficial workarounds that break.
Every export gets compared with your Toast sales and labor reports before go-live. Your accountant sees your totals match, not a promise.
Your API credentials live in a secrets manager, not in a spreadsheet or chat. Each one gets only the locations and scopes it needs.
If one partner app in Toast Web covers your need, you hear that on the first call. Paying us has to save you real hours.
Each integration has a written scope and price before work starts. A new location or system gets its own quote, not a surprise invoice.
We are not a Toast partner and don't pretend to be. We work for you, with the tools and access Toast already gives your account.
Overview
DeveloperLook sets up Toast integrations for restaurants and groups already running Toast. We map where your data needs to go, set up and test partner integrations, and match menus and accounts. Custom syncs on Toast's APIs fill the gaps. Projects start at $600, take 1 to 6 weeks, and come with a runbook.

Good fit
Restaurants retyping sales into QuickBooks
Your manager exports Toast sales every Monday and retypes the totals into QuickBooks, and the tax lines rarely match the first time.
Restaurants taking DoorDash orders
You take DoorDash orders on a separate tablet, and you want a DoorDash Toast integration that puts those tickets into your kitchen flow.
Owners splitting tips by spreadsheet
Your managers calculate tip pools by hand, and you're weighing a TipHaus Toast integration that reads hours and sales directly.
Marketers who want order data
You send campaigns from Klaviyo, and a Klaviyo Toast integration would let you email guests based on what they actually ordered.
Restaurants with digital menu screens
Your menu screens show yesterday's prices, and you want a Yodeck Toast POS integration or another signage feed that updates from Toast.
Not a fit
Not on Toast
Your restaurant runs Square, Clover, or Lightspeed rather than Toast. Our POS Integration Services page covers those systems.
Building an ordering site
You need online ordering built on your website, not data moved between Toast and other tools. Our Restaurant Online Ordering System page fits that.
One partner app only
You need one partner app at one location, under $600 of work. Adding it yourself in Toast Web is cheaper, and we'll tell you before we quote.
Software vendors seeking listings
You're a software company that wants a listing in Toast's marketplace. That runs through Toast's integration partner program, which we can't grant.

Pricing
These are starting points in USD. Your final price depends on how many systems and locations you connect and whether custom syncs are needed, and you get a fixed proposal after free data mapping.
For Agencies
You own the client relationship. We supply the integration engineering behind the Toast setups your restaurant clients need, working under your brand and leaving documentation your team can support afterward.
White label: your client only ever sees your brand
Send the client's Toast setup and the systems involved, and we map the work together.
A proposal in your agency's name arrives with partners, syncs, and price.
We connect, test against Toast reports, and hand over the runbook and credentials.

The Right Technology for Your Project
We use Toast's own APIs and partner integrations first, then dependable sync tools, so each connection stays supported when Toast updates.

Setting up partner integrations with DeveloperLook starts at $600 for up to 3 partners at one location, mapped and tested. A custom sync on Toast's APIs starts at $1,900. A data hub for up to 10 locations with several syncs starts at $4,300. Partner apps may charge their own fees, and you get a fixed quote after free data mapping.
No, Toast's APIs aren't open to anyone, but your restaurant can get access in three ways. Standard API access is self-serve and read-only, bought through the Toast Shop for locations on a qualifying plan. Custom integrations with write access need Toast's approval. Software companies apply to Toast's integration partner program.
Yes, Toast and DoorDash have a direct integration that sends DoorDash Marketplace and Caviar orders straight to your Toast POS. It also syncs your menu and adds DoorDash sales to Toast reporting. Some features aren't supported, including prep time throttling and certain modifier pricing, so check your menu and your busiest hours before you switch.
You buy the DoorDash integration through Toast, then link your store in the DoorDash merchant portal. Toast says setup usually takes 3 to 5 business days, mostly on its side. We check your menu mapping, run test orders to the kitchen, and confirm DoorDash sales land correctly in your Toast reports.
Yes, Toast integrates with QuickBooks through partners in its integration marketplace. xtraCHEF, owned by Toast, offers Sync for QuickBooks Online, and other accounting partners exist. If you run QuickBooks Desktop, confirm desktop support with the partner first. Otherwise we can build a daily sales file from Toast's API that your bookkeeper imports.
Yes, partners such as xtraCHEF Sync post daily sales journal entries from Toast into QuickBooks Online. The real work is mapping: which of your sales categories, taxes, tips, discounts, and payment types go to which of your accounts. We set that mapping with your accountant and compare the first weeks against Toast reports.
Not directly, as far as Toast's own documentation shows, since Toast sells its own payroll product. If you run ADP, you usually route hours through a labor partner, such as Dolce or 7shifts, that exports to ADP. Where none fits, we can build a scheduled export from Toast's labor data.
We found no direct Tripleseat connector in Toast's documentation, and Tripleseat's own POS partnership features GoTab. If you use both, your team likely reconciles event deposits and final checks by hand. We can build a bridge that reads closed Toast checks and matches them to Tripleseat events through both APIs.
Yes, Owner.com documents a Toast integration in its help center, so its online ordering can work with your Toast POS. Setup and support for that link run through Owner. We help you check menu mapping and test orders so tickets reach your kitchen as expected.
We found no native Cin7 connector for Toast POS in either company's directory. Cin7 Core has its own API, and Toast's standard API access can read orders and stock. A custom sync can send Toast sales to Cin7 each night so inventory counts follow what you actually sold.
