LET'S DISCUSSWe had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.

The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.

Head of Marketing of Lumen Outdoor
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

Why Store Owners Trust Us With Remediation
A fix that breaks again on the next theme update is wasted money, so we repair the source. These are the habits we bring to web accessibility remediation.
Fixed at the source
We change the theme code instead of layering a patch on top.
Retested after every fix
Nothing counts as done until it passes our checks.
Scoped by issue volume
You get an estimate based on real findings, not a guess.
Every platform
We work on Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce themes alike.
No new problems
We check that a fix does not create a new accessibility issue.
Documented changes
Your team can see what changed and why.
08Overview
What does accessibility remediation actually fix, and do you cover Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce?
Remediation is different from an audit: the audit finds issues, remediation is us actually fixing them in your theme code. That covers keyboard navigation and focus order, color contrast (WCAG 2.1 AA requires a 4.5:1 ratio for regular text), alt text, form labels and error messages, and touch target sizing, now its own WCAG 2.2 AA criterion at 24x24 pixels. Pricing starts from $1,500 once we know the scope from an audit.

Who it's for
Businesses that already have a WCAG or ADA audit report
You know what's broken and just need it fixed.
Stores with keyboard navigation or focus issues
Tab order jumps around or focus indicators are missing entirely.
Businesses with color contrast or touch target problems
Text is hard to read or buttons are too small and close together on mobile.
Sites missing alt text or clear form labels
Screen reader users can't tell what an image shows or what a field expects.
WordPress or WooCommerce stores, not just Shopify
You want the same level of fix work regardless of platform.
Not a fit for
You don't have audit findings yet and don't know what needs fixing. Our WCAG Audit Services or ADA Website Audit covers that first.
You want the Shopify-specific version bundled with an audit as one package. Our Shopify Accessibility service covers filters, cart and checkout together.
You just need a statement and ongoing monitoring, not code fixes. Our Accessibility Statement and Monitoring service covers that.

What is accessibility remediation?
Remediation is the actual fix work that follows an audit: changing theme and template code so keyboard navigation, screen readers, and other assistive tech work the way WCAG 2.1 AA expects, rather than just documenting what's wrong.
How much does website accessibility remediation cost?
Starts from $1,500 once we know the scope from an audit. Cost depends on how many issues there are and how they're spread across your theme, checkout, and any apps.
How long does remediation take?
Simple fixes like alt text and contrast can move in a week or two. Structural issues like checkout form labeling or custom app code take longer. We give a real timeline once we've seen the audit findings.
Can you fix keyboard navigation, focus states and filters?
Yes. That includes fixing tab order, adding visible focus indicators, and making sure filter and dropdown menus work without a mouse, common failure points on ecommerce themes.
Can you fix color contrast and touch targets?
Yes. WCAG 2.1 AA requires at least a 4.5:1 contrast ratio for regular text, and we also fix touch target sizing to the newer WCAG 2.2 AA minimum of 24x24 pixels, which matters most on mobile checkout buttons.
Do you fix alt text and form labeling?
Yes. That covers writing meaningful alt text for images, adding proper labels and ARIA attributes to form fields, and making error messages clear enough for a screen reader to announce correctly.
Will you provide a remediation report?
Yes. You get a report showing each issue that was fixed, mapped back to the audit finding and its WCAG success criterion, which doubles as documentation of your remediation effort.
Do you also remediate Shopify, WordPress and WooCommerce themes?
Yes. We fix theme and template code across Shopify, WordPress, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce, not just one platform.
