LET'S DISCUSSWe had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.

The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.

Head of Marketing of Lumen Outdoor
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

Why Store Owners Trust Us With Their Audit
A scanner summary tells you very little, so we test the way real users do. These are the habits we bring to every WCAG audit service.
Manual and automated
We combine scanners with hand testing, since tools miss most issues.
Developer-ready findings
Each issue names the page, the code and the fix.
Scored by severity
You can plan work around what matters most.
Covers all 50 criteria
We test against every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion that applies.
Screen reader tested
We check how your store actually sounds and behaves for blind users.
Clear scope and price
You know what is covered before we begin.
08Overview
What does a WCAG 2.1 AA audit actually check, and how is it different from an automated scan?
WCAG 2.1 AA groups 50 success criteria under four principles, perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Automated scanners only catch 30 to 40% of these reliably, so we pair tools like axe and WAVE with manual testing, screen readers and keyboard-only navigation to cover the rest. You get a developer-ready report listing each issue against its success criterion, severity, and fix guidance.

Who it's for
Businesses that need a documented WCAG 2.1 AA conformance level
You need to know exactly where you stand against the standard, not a rough guess.
Teams that want theme and checkout tested together
Most audits skip checkout, but that's often where the highest-risk forms live.
Businesses that want manual testing, not just an automated scan
You've run a free scanner tool and know it only catches part of the picture.
Developers who need issues mapped to specific success criteria
You want a report your dev team can act on directly, not a vague summary.
Businesses that need to re-audit after a theme or app update
Your last audit is out of date since the last redesign.
Not a fit for
You want the audit framed around ADA legal risk and demand-letter response rather than the technical standard itself. Our ADA Website Audit covers that angle.
You already know your issues and just need them fixed. Our Accessibility Remediation Services covers that.
You want a broader compliance overview covering statements and monitoring too. Our ADA Website Compliance Services covers that.
09Pricing

What is WCAG compliance?
WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is the W3C's technical standard for accessible web content, organized around four principles, perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. Level AA is the version courts and DOJ guidance treat as the compliance benchmark, and it groups 50 testable success criteria in WCAG 2.1.
What does a WCAG 2.1 AA audit cover?
We test your theme templates, checkout and cart forms, navigation, images, color contrast, and any custom apps against all 50 Level A and AA success criteria, using both automated scans and manual testing.
How much does a WCAG audit cost?
A full theme and checkout audit starts from $899. Larger or more complex sites with more templates and apps are quoted after a quick scope call.
How long does a WCAG audit take?
Most audits take 1 to 2 weeks, depending on how many page templates and apps are in scope.
Do you audit the checkout as well as the theme?
Yes. Checkout and cart forms are where some of the highest-risk issues live, missing labels, unclear error messages, poor focus handling, so we test them alongside the theme rather than skipping them.
What is in the audit report?
Each issue is mapped to its specific WCAG success criterion, given a severity rating, and includes practical guidance on how to fix it, organized so a developer can work through it directly.
Manual audit or automated scan: what is the difference?
Automated tools like axe or WAVE only catch about 30 to 40% of WCAG issues reliably. The rest, like whether a screen reader announces something sensibly or keyboard focus behaves correctly, needs a person actually testing it, which is why we always pair both methods.
Can you fix the issues you find?
Yes. The audit itself is diagnostic, and remediation is quoted separately once we know the full scope, but we can move straight into fixing the code once the report is delivered.
How often should I re-audit?
After any major theme, checkout, or app change, and at least once a year otherwise, since new WCAG issues can appear with routine updates.
