The Problem
It happens on the big ones. The transmission quote lands on a customer who budgeted for an oil change, and nobody mentions a way to spread the cost.
The estimate lands far past what the customer planned.
Financing sits in a counter brochure, not on estimates.
The customer promises to think about it, and the car leaves.
Your advisor calls with the diagnosis: the transmission needs a rebuild, and the estimate is far past what the customer planned to spend. There's a pause, then a promise to think about it. The car leaves on a tow or limps home with the problem still there. You've spent diagnostic time for nothing, and the job may go to a shop that mentioned financing. A lender brochure sits at your counter, but it isn't linked on estimates or the website.
Prequalify links in estimate messages show pay-over-time options before the customer decides.
We add lender links to estimates, service pages, and a QR code at the counter.
Customers prequalify with a soft check and approve the repair while the car is still there.
We start by checking what your shop software already includes. Then we add lender prequalify links where repair decisions happen. That means your estimate texts and emails, DVI approval pages, your financing page, and a QR code at the counter. Payment amounts appear only in lender-supplied messages that carry their required terms. Your customer approves the repair instead of paying for a diagnosis and leaving.
Offers where decisions happen
Prequalify links in estimate messages, DVI approvals, and a QR code at your counter.
A second look for thin credit
A lease option for your customers a prime lender turns down, explained without promises.
Messages that follow the rules
Payment amounts appear with the terms Regulation Z requires, using your lenders' own tools.
Our Repair Financing Setup Process
You pick the lenders, approve every customer-facing message, and see test runs of each link before launch.
What's Included
Six pieces cover your counter, your estimates, and your website. Customers hear about financing before they say no.
Compare Options
Your software's built-in options switch on fast, and in-house plans cost nothing to set up. Both suit some shops. Here is where each holds up.
| Feature | DeveloperLookBest fit | Software | In-house |
|---|---|---|---|
| Setup cost | From $600 | Included with processing | Nothing upfront |
| Lender choice | Matched to customers | Set by your software | You are the lender |
| Low-credit customers | Second-look lease | Provider rules decide | You carry the risk |
| Where offers appear | Site, estimates, counter | Estimates and invoices | When staff remember |
| How you get paid | By the lender | Through your processor | Over months, if repaid |
| Disclosure checks | Regulation Z reviewed | Provider's own screens | Your responsibility |
| Website messaging | Widgets on key pages | Inside the invoice flow | Usually none |
| Setup ownership | Yours to keep | Tied to your software | Your records, your risk |
Projects We've Built
Finance web apps with account dashboards, a car rental website, and a rental app that shows the full price before booking. They show the payment screens financing plugs into.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built websites, payment flows, and integrations for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
Financing touches your customers' money and your shop's name. These habits keep offers clear, compliant, and easy for advisors to use.
Overview
DeveloperLook sets up auto repair financing for independent repair shops. We add prequalify links from Synchrony Car Care, Sunbit, Affirm, or Snap Finance to your estimates, website, and counter. We also switch on the options your shop software already has. Setups start at $600 and launch in 1 to 6 weeks after lender approval.
Your advisors hear promises to think about it. Financing only comes up after the customer has already left.
Your jobs run into the thousands, and customers compare your quote with a used engine or a new car payment.
You use Tekmetric Payments or Shopmonkey Payments and want the built-in pay-over-time options switched on and promoted.
Your customers ask about car repair financing. Bad credit often means a prime lender says no, so you need a second look.
You run several locations and want every advisor offering the same lenders the same way, with results by shop.
Your budget is under $600 and you use Tekmetric Payments or Shopmonkey Payments. Switch on their built-in pay-over-time options first.
You want to carry customer payment plans yourself. That's lending with its own rules, and we don't build in-house credit programs.
You need more transmission calls before financing matters. Our Transmission Shop Marketing & High-Ticket Lead Gen service brings that work in.
You sell parts online and want installments in the cart. The Buy Now Pay Later Integration page covers Shopify and WooCommerce stores.

Tell us the shop's software, locations, and the lenders it uses or wants.
We map where offers appear and quote one fixed price for the setup.
We launch under your brand, test every link, and hand over the tracking.
The Right Technology for Your Project
Lender tools, the payment features in your shop software, and a website that shows financing where customers decide.
FAQ
Straight answers on cost, timing, lenders, prequalification, and disclosure rules for financing offers.
Setup starts at $600 for one lender's prequalify links on your estimates, website, and counter. The $1,550 plan adds a second lender with a lease option, disclosure review, and your shop software's built-in options. Multi-location and online checkout setups start at $3,350. Lenders charge their own merchant fees on each funded job.
Most single-lender setups launch in 1 to 2 weeks after the lender approves your merchant account. Two-lender programs take 3 to 4 weeks, and multi-shop builds with online checkout take 5 to 6 weeks. Lender approval runs on the lender's schedule, so we build while you wait.
It turns one large bill into payments your customer can plan for, so the repair gets approved instead of postponed. Each option fits a different customer. Synchrony Car Care is a card with deferred-interest promotions, Sunbit and Affirm offer installment plans, and Snap Finance leases to customers with thinner credit.
We place each lender's own prequalify link or widget on your financing page, big-repair service pages, and estimate messages. Sunbit, Synchrony Car Care, and Affirm let customers check options without affecting their credit score, and the full application happens on the lender's own screens. GA4 shows which pages start applications.
Monthly options move the decision from the full bill to a payment that fits your customer's budget. On engine and transmission jobs, that's often the difference between approving the repair and towing the car home. Advisors can open the prequalify link with the customer during the estimate call.
We treat any payment amount, term length, or down payment on a page as a trigger for full terms. Regulation Z requires ads that state those terms to also show the down payment, repayment terms, and APR. Deferred-interest offers must say if paid in full. Your lenders publish their own marketing rules, and your team approves final copy.
Yes, if you use their payment processing. Tekmetric Payments offers Affirm, Klarna, and Sunbit from the repair order invoice, with a prequalify step inside estimates over $250. Shopmonkey made Affirm a default option in its payment processing in June 2025. We switch those on and link them from your website.
Yes, Affirm car repair financing works through Tekmetric Payments, Shopmonkey Payments, or a direct Affirm merchant account. Customers split the bill into biweekly or monthly payments and see the total cost before they accept, with no late fees. We add Affirm's messaging and prequalify flow to your estimates and site.
Snap Finance offers lease-to-own, which works differently from a loan: your customer signs a lease with Snap, and Snap pays your shop. Customers apply by text link, QR code, or Snap's merchant portal, and online stores can use Snap's checkout plugin. We place those links on your site and estimates and explain the lease terms plainly.
The lender handles collection, not your shop. Tekmetric's help center says shops carry no risk when a BNPL customer misses a payment. Snap's plugin page says Snap services the lease and handles fraud. Read your merchant agreement for dispute and chargeback rules before you sign.
