The Problem
Templates sell to thousands of stores. Yours needs one thing the template can't do, then another, and each gap turns into an app or a workaround.
01 · App sprawl
Each new idea means another app with its own scripts and fee.
Simple app features get rebuilt as sections in your theme.
02 · Placement limits
Your template can't place features where you want them.
Every template gets designed from your products and content, not a demo.
03 · Slow pages
A year of apps later, the product page loads slowly.
Speed gets planned per template before the build, not patched after.
04 · Lookalike stores
Competitors on the same template look just like you.
Your theme fits your brand and belongs to you, with only the code you use.
You want a size guide beside the Add to Cart button, a bundle builder, and a lookbook page that matches your campaign. Your template can't place any of them where you want, so you add three apps. Each one brings its own scripts, styles, and monthly fee. A year later the product page loads slowly. Your designer's ideas die in the editor, and competitors on the same template look just like you.
We start from your products, your content, and the way your customers shop. Then we design each template and build it in Liquid with sections your team can edit, rebuilding simple app features as theme code. Speed is planned per template before the build, not patched afterwards. You launch a theme that fits your brand, carries only the code you use, and belongs to you.
Designed around your products
Every template starts from your catalog and content, not from a demo store's layout.
Sections your team can edit
Content changes happen in the theme editor, so launches don't wait for a developer.
Fewer apps, lighter pages
Badges, size charts, and tabs become theme sections instead of monthly subscriptions.
Our Theme Build Process
You approve every design first. Then you preview the build while your live store keeps selling, and we publish only when every page checks out.
We look at your current theme, your apps, and the features you can't live without. You get a short plan showing which apps can become sections and a fixed quote for the build.
What's Included
Every build covers five things. You get design, a Liquid build with editable sections, app features rebuilt where it makes sense, content setup, and team training.

Projects We've Built
Ecommerce stores we've designed and built for clients, from fashion to home goods, with themes shaped around each catalog.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we've built websites and stores for.
We had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

Work Culture
Shopify custom theme development shapes the storefront your customers see daily. These habits keep yours on brand, easy to edit, and fast long after launch.
You see and approve every template design before we write a line of Liquid. Changes are cheap on a mockup and expensive in code.
We build sections and blocks your team can rearrange in Shopify's editor. A new campaign page shouldn't need a support ticket.
We rebuild an app feature as theme code only when it's simple and the fee adds up. Complex apps stay and plug in cleanly.
Every template gets an image, font, and script budget before the build starts. Your store launches fast instead of getting fixed later.
If a Theme Store theme covers your needs, we'll tell you before quoting a custom build. The right answer is sometimes the cheaper one.
You own every file, with no license fee and no lock-in. Any developer can pick up the code, because every section is documented.

We design each template, build it in Liquid with sections your team can edit, and rebuild simple app features as theme code. Themes start at $1,250, starter builds take 3 to 4 weeks, and you own all the code.

Good fit
Brands outgrowing a premium theme
Your premium template looked great at launch, but every new idea now needs another app or a workaround in the editor.
Stores paying for many small apps
You pay monthly for badges, size charts, and tabs that your own sections could handle for a one-time build cost.
Brands with a designer's mockups
Your designer delivered Figma files, and you need developers who turn them into Liquid sections your team can edit.
Shopify Plus brands with several markets
Your team needs a Shopify Plus theme development company that can handle markets, wholesale buyers, and checkout branding in one build.
Agencies needing theme developers
Your agency won a Shopify redesign and needs a Shopify theme development service that builds quietly under your brand.
Not a fit
Design is fine, just slow
Your store feels slow, but you like its design. Shopify Speed Optimization makes your current theme faster without a rebuild.
Features, not a storefront
You need a custom checkout step, a pricing rule, or an app of your own rather than a new storefront. Custom Shopify Development covers that.
Small catalog, tight budget
You're launching with a small catalog and a tight budget. A well-chosen Theme Store theme is the better start, and we'll tell you what to look for.
Budget under $1,250
Your budget is under $1,250. Customizing a free Shopify theme in the theme editor covers most needs at that level.

A starter theme costs $1,250, built on Shopify's reference theme with your branding, 5 core templates, and up to 4 custom sections. A fully designed theme with up to 12 sections and 4 app features rebuilt as code is $3,500. Shopify Plus builds with market and wholesale templates start at $6,800, and every quote is fixed once we've reviewed your store.
A starter theme takes 3 to 4 weeks. A fully designed theme takes 6 to 8 weeks, split between design approval, the build, and moving content. Shopify Plus builds run 8 to 12 weeks. Your store keeps selling the whole time, because we build on an unpublished theme and publish only after you approve it.
It can replace apps that only change how pages look, like size charts, badges, or tabs. We rebuild those as theme sections, which removes their scripts and monthly fees. Apps that handle data, such as reviews platforms or subscriptions, usually stay, and modern ones plug in as app blocks without editing your theme code.
A premium theme is a finished design sold to many stores, while yours would be built for you alone. Shopify requires Theme Store themes to average a Lighthouse performance score of at least 60 on key pages. A theme built for you can meet a tighter budget, because it only carries features you use. Premium themes cost less and come with vendor updates.
Usually, because it ships only the code your store uses. We set an image, font, and script budget per template and load the main product image first. Simple apps become sections, and we aim for 90+ in Lighthouse on home, collection, and product pages. Apps added later can slow any theme, so your guide lists what each template can carry.
Not for everyday changes: Shopify's editor lets you edit sections, blocks, colors, and text without code. You need Liquid, Shopify's template language, for layout changes the editor can't make, such as a new product page structure. For those, our Shopify theme customization services add custom sections to the theme you already have.
We can: we rebuild your current look on a lean base, keeping the design your customers know while dropping unused code and app scripts. Older themes without sections on every page usually gain the most. You review the new version as an unpublished theme before anything goes live.
Your products, collections, menus, pages, and blog posts stay put, because Shopify stores them outside the theme. What doesn't move is theme-specific: section and block settings, colors, fonts, theme text, and code that apps added. We rebuild those in the new theme and compare every page with the old one before publishing.
You do: it lives in your store's theme library, and you can have the full source in a GitHub repository too. There's no license fee, and any Shopify developer can maintain it. Every section is documented in your theme guide, so your team knows what each one does.
There's no vendor update button, since the code was written only for you. Theme Store themes get free updates, but Shopify's help center notes that code edits can fail to carry over into them. With your own theme, new Shopify features are added when you need them, and nothing changes without your approval.
