The Problem
Apps pile up. Each one adds a line to the bill and a script to the page, and uninstalling one doesn't always clean up after it.
01 · Mystery apps
Your app list is longer than you remember.
Every app gets reviewed for what it loads, where, and what it costs.
02 · Overlap
Two apps do almost the same job.
Speed cost, fee, and overlap sit side by side for each app.
03 · Leftover code
Your theme still carries code from apps you removed.
Leftover snippets get traced back to the app that left them.
04 · Guesswork
The store feels slower each season, and nobody knows why.
A ranked list says what to keep, fix, or remove.
You open your app list and count: there are more than you remember installing. Two do almost the same job, one belongs to a campaign that ended last year, and nobody knows what the rest load on the product page. The bill arrives every 30 days, the store feels slower each season, and the theme still carries code from apps you removed long ago.
We start with a full inventory: every app, what it loads and where, and what it has cost you over the last 12 months. Then we scan your theme for code left by old apps and check speed with real-visitor data and lab tests. You get one ranked list of what to keep, fix, or remove, so decisions come from numbers, not guesses.
Every app, one table
Speed cost, monthly fee, and overlap for each installed app, side by side in one place.
Leftovers traced to code
Snippets and scripts from uninstalled apps traced back to the app that left them.
Advice with no agenda
We don't sell app subscriptions, so each recommendation follows your numbers.
Our Store Audit Process
You see the scope before paying. Then you get a report in plain English and choose which fixes happen next, if any.
We look at your app list, theme version, and Shopify's web performance report through collaborator access. You get a short note on what the full audit will cover and a fixed quote.
What's Included
Every audit covers your apps, your app spend, leftover code, speed, and the technical SEO issues apps cause, ranked in one report.

Projects We've Built
Shopify and ecommerce stores we've built for clients, with the app setups and themes we now review for store owners every week.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from store owners we've helped with speed, checkout, and catalog work.
We were getting plenty of traffic, but far too many people were leaving at checkout. The buying process had simply become too complicated. The team took the time to understand where customers were dropping off, then rebuilt the checkout flow and cleaned up the shopping experience. What I really appreciated was that they didn’t just make the store look better, they actually solved the problems that were costing us sales. The whole store feels faster, simpler, and much easier to buy from now. Exactly what we needed.
We had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.
Our old store was making it way too difficult for people to find products. We had a large catalogue, but the search, filters, and mobile navigation were frustrating customers. The team completely changed how the store handled product discovery and made the experience much easier to use on mobile. I was especially impressed by how much thought went into the customer journey rather than just the visual design. They understood what we were trying to achieve and turned it into a store that actually feels built for our customers. We’re genuinely proud of the result.

Work Culture
An audit is only useful if you believe it and can act on it. These habits keep ours accurate, independent, and easy to use.
Each issue in the report names the app, file, or setting behind it. You can check any finding yourself instead of taking our word for it.
App costs come from your Shopify bills and any outside invoices, not list prices. The total you see is the total you actually pay.
Every recommendation gets an impact and effort score, so your first week of work pays off most. Small wins sit next to big projects on one list.
The audit itself changes nothing in your store, and cleanup happens on a theme copy you approve. Your live store keeps selling while we look.
Some apps earn every cent, and we'll say so. The goal is a leaner store, not a shorter app list for its own sake.
You get a fixed audit price after the free check, based on your app count. Cleanup and roadmap work are quoted the same way.

Good fit
Stores with an unchecked app list
You've added apps for three years, removed very few, and can't say which ones still matter to sales.
Owners surprised by the app bill
Your monthly Shopify bill keeps growing, and you want to see what each app costs before cutting anything.
Stores that slowed after new apps
Your store slowed down after a busy season of installs, and you want to know which apps caused it.
Brands planning a redesign or migration
You're about to rebuild or migrate, and you need a clear list of what to keep, drop, or rebuild first.
Agencies onboarding a client store
You just took over a client's Shopify store and need a written baseline before promising any results.
Not a fit
Fixes, not a report
You already know what's slow and just want it fixed. Shopify Speed Optimization starts with the fixes instead of a report.
Keyword and ranking review
You need a keyword, content, and ranking review. Our Ecommerce SEO Audit covers search in much more depth than this audit does.
Testing page ideas
You want to test checkout and product page ideas against each other. Ecommerce CRO Services runs those experiments.
Few apps, fast store
You run a handful of apps on a fast store. Shopify's free web performance report may already tell you enough.

Send collaborator access and anything the client has already flagged to you.
We review apps, spend, code, and speed, then draft the report for you.
You get a branded report and walkthrough notes for your client meeting.
We work under your brand and speak with your team only.

Every finding ranked and priced, ready to turn into your next proposal.

Our audit report costs $300 for stores with up to 25 apps, covering every app, 12 months of app spend, leftover code, and speed. Adding cleanup of leftover code and up to 5 quick speed fixes brings it to $650. Stores with up to 50 apps, or that want every fix priced upfront, pay $1,000.
The report takes 3 to 5 business days from the day you grant collaborator access. Cleanup plans add up to a week, because we remove leftover code on a theme copy and test it before publishing. You don't need to pause sales or change anything while we work.
Check what each app adds to your pages, not just how many apps you have. Run a product page through PageSpeed Insights and note which scripts and files belong to which app. Then compare Shopify's web performance report around the dates you installed each app, since the report marks installs on its chart.
Go to Settings, then Billing, in your Shopify admin, where recurring app charges and past bills are listed. Each app's page under Settings, then Apps, also shows its billing cycle and usage charges. Watch for apps that bill you directly, because those charges don't appear on your Shopify bill at all.
Some apps do, mostly older ones that wrote code straight into your theme. Shopify's help center confirms that uninstalling doesn't always remove code an app added. Newer apps built on theme app extensions leave your theme files alone, so removing them is clean. Our audit lists which leftovers belong to which app.
Duplicate your live theme first, then search the copy's files for the old app's name, snippet names, and script addresses. Remove each leftover render tag and snippet, preview every template, and publish only when nothing breaks. If you're unsure what a snippet does, ask the app developer or a developer before deleting it.
Once or twice a year suits most stores, plus a check after any big change. Good triggers include a season of new app installs, a theme update, or a jump in your app bill. Between audits, Shopify's web performance report works as a free early warning, since it tracks real-visitor speed.
There's no magic number: what matters is what each app loads and whether it earns its fee. A long list of light, well-built apps can run faster than a short list of heavy ones. We judge each app on the speed it costs, the money it costs, and whether another app already does the same job.
It covers the technical SEO problems that apps and theme code cause, like duplicate pages, broken product markup, and blocked files. That makes it a Shopify technical SEO audit service for app and theme issues. For keywords, content, and rankings, our Ecommerce SEO Audit goes much deeper.
You decide what to act on, and there are three common paths. Your team can work from the report in-house, or we can handle cleanup under the second plan. You can also take the roadmap plan's fixed quotes to any developer. Either way, you can ask us about any finding for 30 days.
