LET'S DISCUSSWe had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.

The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.

Head of Marketing of Lumen Outdoor
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

07Work Culture
Why Brands Choose Us as Their Shopify CRO Agency
Guessing at a redesign is costly, so we let shopper behavior decide what to test. These are the habits we bring to every project.
Data before opinions
We start from recordings and funnels, not from what looks good.
Tracking checked first
We fix broken analytics before running any test.
One clear reason per test
Every test comes with a stated hypothesis and a success measure.
Tests that finish
We run tests long enough to read, not stop at the first spike.
Winners shipped properly
Winning changes go live cleanly and stay live.
Plain-language reports
You see what moved and what it meant for revenue.
08Overview
What does ecommerce CRO include and what's a good conversion rate?
DeveloperLook audits your tracking first, reviews Hotjar or Clarity recordings to find real friction points, then prioritizes and runs A/B tests on product pages and, for Shopify Plus, checkout itself. A typical Shopify store converts around 1.5 to 3%, 3.2% or higher is top 20%, 4.7% or higher is top 10%. Audits start from $899, each test then runs 2 to 4 weeks.

Who it's for
Businesses whose conversion rate sits below industry benchmarks
Your rate is under 1.5% and you're not sure why.
Businesses that want to know what to test first instead of guessing
You've heard of A/B testing but don't know where to start.
Businesses wanting session recordings reviewed for actual friction points
You have Hotjar or Clarity installed but nobody's reviewed the recordings.
Businesses on Shopify Plus wanting to test their checkout
You want to experiment with checkout, not just product pages.
Businesses unsure if their tracking is accurate enough to trust test results
You want confidence that a test result reflects reality, not broken tracking.
Not a fit for
You don't have GA4 or Meta tracking set up accurately yet. Our GA4 Setup and Audit Services covers that first, since trustworthy tracking is what makes test results meaningful.
You want site speed or Core Web Vitals fixed rather than conversion testing. Our site speed optimization services cover that.

How much do ecommerce CRO services cost?
A CRO audit typically starts from $899. Ongoing testing after that is quoted based on how many tests and pages are in scope.
How does A/B testing work on Shopify product pages and checkout?
Traffic is split randomly between two versions running at the same time. Product page tests can change images, pricing display, or add-to-cart buttons. Checkout testing on Shopify Plus runs through checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions, while non-Plus stores have much more limited checkout customization.
Which heatmap and session recording tools do you use (Hotjar, Clarity)?
We work with both Hotjar and Microsoft Clarity depending on what fits your store and budget.
How long until CRO results show?
Each test typically needs to run for 2 to 4 weeks, about 1 to 2 full business cycles, to reach statistical significance and get past novelty effects.
How do you decide what to test first?
We review heatmaps and session recordings to find where shoppers actually drop off, then prioritize tests by traffic volume and likely revenue impact rather than guessing.
Can you set up tracking so test results are trustworthy?
Yes. Inaccurate GA4 or Meta tracking can make a test look like it worked when it didn't, so we can pair this with our GA4 Setup and Audit Services to make sure the numbers are real first.
What is a good ecommerce conversion rate?
Most Shopify stores convert somewhere between 1.5 and 3%. A rate of 3.2% or higher puts you in the top 20%, and 4.7% or higher is top 10%. Below 1% usually points to a structural traffic or funnel issue.
Do you run tests on Shopify Plus checkout?
Yes. Shopify Plus stores can test checkout through checkout UI extensions and Shopify Functions. Non-Plus stores have much more limited checkout customization since checkout.liquid was deprecated.
Can you review session recordings and report the friction points?
Yes. We watch a sample of recordings, identify where shoppers hesitate or abandon, and hand back a report of what to fix or test.
