LET'S DISCUSSWe had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.

The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.

We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

Why Advertisers Trust Us With Their Pixel
A pixel that double counts purchases makes ROAS look better than it is, so we start by checking the truth. These are the habits we bring to every project.
Honest ROAS
We remove double-firing purchases that inflate your return numbers.
Right method, not most method
We only add custom code when native integration falls short.
Events tested with real orders
We compare Meta counts against Shopify before signing off.
Fast turnaround
Most pixel fixes are done in a few business days.
Fixed scope
You know the price after a quick review.
Ready for Conversions API
A clean pixel makes adding server-side events much simpler later.
08Overview
How do you set up and audit the Meta pixel for a Shopify store?
DeveloperLook installs and audits the Meta pixel for Shopify, fixing double-firing purchases caused by running native and manual installs at once, which can inflate ROAS dramatically. We configure the core events, Purchase, InitiateCheckout, AddToCart, ViewContent and PageView, and can add a TikTok pixel too. Setup starts from $399, most projects take 2 to 4 business days.

Who it's for
Businesses whose Meta ROAS looks too good to be true
Your reported return on ad spend seems higher than it should realistically be.
Businesses installing the Meta pixel on Shopify for the first time
You're setting up tracking before launching your first campaigns.
Businesses running both a native and manually installed pixel
You suspect, or know, that purchases are being counted more than once.
Businesses wanting the right events tracked for campaign optimization
You're not sure if Purchase, AddToCart and ViewContent are all firing correctly.
Businesses also running TikTok ads wanting both pixels set up correctly
You want Meta and TikTok tracking handled together, not as separate afterthoughts.
Not a fit for
You need GA4 tracking set up or audited, not Meta specifically. Our GA4 Setup and Audit Services covers that.
You need Meta's Conversions API for server-side event forwarding. Our Conversions API Setup Services is scoped to that, and we typically recommend running it alongside pixel setup.
You need broader server-side tracking infrastructure beyond Meta. Our Server-Side Tracking Setup service covers that.

How to add Facebook pixel to Shopify?
Enable Meta's native integration through Shopify's Online Store preferences, or route it through a custom Google Tag Manager setup for more control. We recommend picking one path rather than mixing both.
Why is my Meta pixel double-firing purchases?
Usually because Shopify's native integration is enabled at the same time as a manually added pixel in Additional Scripts or hardcoded into theme files, or because an app re-installed the pixel separately.
How do I check if my pixel is working correctly?
We use Meta's test events tool to confirm each standard event fires once per action, then compare pixel-reported purchase counts against actual Shopify order counts.
How much does Meta pixel setup and audit cost?
Setup or an audit typically starts from $399, depending on how many duplicate installs or apps need to be untangled.
Should I use the native Shopify integration or a custom setup?
Native integration is simpler and works well for standard needs. A custom Google Tag Manager setup gives more control over event parameters, which matters if you're also running Conversions API and need clean event matching.
How do I fix duplicate events between pixel and Conversions API?
Both the pixel and Conversions API need to send the same event_id for the same action, so Meta can deduplicate them into a single event rather than counting it twice.
Can you also set up the TikTok pixel?
Yes. We run the same install, audit and event-configuration process for the TikTok pixel alongside Meta.
Which events should I track for ecommerce?
Purchase matters most since it's the primary optimization event, followed by InitiateCheckout and AddToCart for stores that need more conversion volume, then ViewContent and PageView for retargeting audiences.
