Event-triggered review requests
Requests sent when a job closes, an invoice is paid, or a visit checks out, not on a guess.
For local businesses on Podium or Birdeye: review requests that send when a job is truly done, synced contacts, and webchat that reaches the right inbox.

Teams we have built for:

The Problem
Birdeye integrations and Podium setups usually get ordered when reviews stall, customers get asked twice, and nobody can say which jobs were asked at all.
01 · Timing
Review texts go out a day late, if at all.
Each request fires when your system marks the job finished.
02 · Duplicates
Customers on two lists get asked twice.
Duplicates are filtered by phone and email before anything sends.
03 · CRM
Closed deals in your CRM don't reach Podium.
HubSpot or Salesforce deal stages trigger requests through native links.
04 · Consent
Nobody knows which customers agreed to texts.
Opt-in wording and 10DLC registration get checked before the first send.
A technician finishes a job at 4 p.m., and the review text goes out at 9 the next morning, if someone remembers to send it. A customer on two lists gets asked twice and replies STOP. Your CRM shows the deal closed, but Podium didn't hear about it. The website chat sends leads to an inbox nobody checks on weekends. And when someone asks whether these customers agreed to texts, nobody's sure.
We start by finding the system that knows a job is truly done: your CRM, booking tool, or practice software. Each review request fires from that event, after duplicates are filtered and consent is confirmed. Then we sync contacts with HubSpot or Salesforce, put webchat and the review widget on your site, and build API syncs where no native link exists. Requests follow finished work, not a sticky note.
Requests on finished work
Each request fires from the system that knows the job is done, not from a schedule.
Consent checked first
Opt-in records, 10DLC registration, and opt-out handling confirmed before any text goes out.
Contacts kept in step
HubSpot or Salesforce contacts synced, so the same customer isn't asked twice.
Our Podium and Birdeye Integration Process
You see which system will trigger each request, approve the message wording and consent checks, and watch test contacts run before customers do.
We map how review requests, texts, and web leads work today, and which system knows a job is finished. You get a short report on what Podium or Birdeye already covers and what needs a link.
What's Included
Most businesses need one trigger, a CRM link, and webchat or a widget on the site. Multi-location teams and practices add duplicate filtering and custom API syncs.
Compare Options
Vendor onboarding gets the basics live quickly, and asking customers in person costs nothing. Here's where each holds up once requests should follow every finished job.
| Feature | DeveloperLookBest fit | Vendor onboarding | Manual asks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Request trigger | Fires on a real job event | Scheduled batch sends | When staff remember |
| CRM link | HubSpot or Salesforce mapped and tested | Native app with defaults | Not connected |
| Consent | Opt-in and 10DLC checked | Covered in vendor terms | Rarely tracked |
| Website | Webchat and widget placed | Snippet sent to you | Link in an email footer |
| Custom systems | API sync with webhooks | Not included | Not possible |
| Duplicates | Filtered before sending | Depends on settings | Common |
| Speed to start | 1 to 4 weeks | Days with vendor help | Today |
| Cost | Fixed price from $500 | Often part of onboarding | Staff time per request |
Projects We've Built
Medical, restaurant, and automotive sites and apps we designed and built. None of them ran Podium or Birdeye, but each one turns visits into customer contact.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built websites and business software for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
Review requests reach customers directly, so mistakes are public. These habits keep our Podium and Birdeye integration work careful with timing, consent, and data.
We check Podium's and Birdeye's own marketplaces against your systems first. If a native link covers your case, we'll tell you before we quote.
Podium's terms require consent and TCPA compliance, and unregistered 10DLC traffic gets filtered by carriers. We confirm both before any text goes out.
A request sent mid-job annoys customers and earns worse reviews. We tie each request to the event that proves the work is finished.
Customers on two lists shouldn't get two requests for one visit. We filter duplicates by phone and email before anything sends, across every trigger.
API keys and logins stay in your Podium or Birdeye account. We use the access you grant and hand it back at the end.
You get a written scope and one price after the free audit. Anything new mid-project gets quoted before we start it.

Good fit
Home service companies on HubSpot
Your crews close jobs, but review requests go out only when someone remembers. A Podium HubSpot integration can send one each time a deal closes.
Multi-location teams on Salesforce
Your locations log every sale in Salesforce, and you want a Birdeye Salesforce integration sending review and survey requests after each transaction.
Teams choosing between the two
You're deciding between Podium and Birdeye and need a Podium Salesforce integration compared with Birdeye's before anyone signs a contract.
Dental practices on Curve
Your practice runs Curve Dental and wants review requests after each visit. You need to know which tool connects to Curve before you buy.
Developers using the review APIs
Your developer needs contacts pushed from your booking system into Birdeye or Podium, with webhooks back for new messages and reviews.
Not a fit
Want reviews managed for you
You want someone to run review campaigns and replies every month, not set up software. Our contractor reputation management page covers managed review programs.
Need HIPAA patient texting
Your practice needs texting with patient health details under a BAA. Our HIPAA compliant texting and patient messaging page covers those rules.
Budget under $500
Your budget is under $500 and you only need Podium's webchat on a WordPress site. Podium's own plugin covers that, and we'll say so before we quote.
No opt-in process yet
You plan to text customers who haven't agreed to texts. Podium's terms require consent and TCPA compliance, so we start once your opt-in process exists.

DeveloperLook's Birdeye integrations and Podium setups start at $500 for one trigger and a native CRM link. That plan also adds webchat or a review widget and a consent check. Up to 4 triggers, message logging, and widgets on key pages start at $1,350. Custom API syncs for up to 5 locations start at $3,050. Podium and Birdeye bill their own subscriptions.
A Podium integration with native links takes 1 to 2 weeks, including tests on sample contacts. Custom API syncs take 3 to 4 weeks. Podium reviews new developer accounts before granting API access, which can take a few days, so we apply during planning and the wait seldom delays launch.
Birdeye is a customer experience platform for local and multi-location businesses. It presents its tools as AI coworkers for marketing, operations, and customer experience. They cover reviews, listings, social posts, chat, appointments, reminders, surveys, and ticketing, all run from one dashboard that each location can share.
Businesses use Birdeye mainly to collect and answer reviews, keep listings accurate, and message customers from one inbox. Multi-location brands also use it for surveys, appointment reminders, and reporting across locations. Most of its value depends on knowing when a customer finished a visit, which is where integrations come in.
Podium puts a business's customer conversations in one inbox: texts, webchat, reviews, calls, and payment requests. Teams send review invites by text, collect payments through text links, and use its AI Employee to answer leads. Its marketplace links it to CRMs and practice systems, so requests can fire from real events.
Podium software is a lead management and communication platform powered by AI, in Podium's own words. It's sold to local businesses through quoted plans after a sales call rather than self-serve sign-up. Developers extend it through the Podium API, which uses OAuth, a reviewed developer account, and webhooks for messages and contacts.
Podium doesn't publish monthly prices as of October 2026, and its pricing page asks you to talk to sales. Third-party sites quote figures, but they change and aren't Podium's own, so we don't repeat them. Ask for the plan that includes the integrations you need, since that decides what we can connect.
Not in Podium's published dental integrations as of October 2026, which list Open Dental, Denticon, Eaglesoft, and Dentrix Enterprise. Birdeye does list a Curve Dental integration that pulls patient contact details and sends review requests. A Curve practice should get written confirmation from Podium before buying, or compare it with Birdeye first.
Yes, Podium has an official WordPress plugin: you install it and paste your webchat code from Podium's settings. The plugin was last updated in April 2025 and isn't tested on the newest WordPress versions, so we sometimes add Podium's snippet to the theme instead. Either way, we test chat on mobile before launch.
Yes, the Birdeye public API is documented on the Birdeye developer portal, which now lives at docs.birdeye.com. Calls use an API key from your Birdeye dashboard, kept on the server rather than in the browser. It covers reviews, contacts, review campaigns, listings, surveys, and webhooks, and Birdeye doesn't publish its rate limits.
