The Problem
It shows up when shoppers browse on a phone and buy later on a laptop. They had no way to save what they liked, so they can't find it again.
01 · Lost favorites
Shoppers screenshot items because they can't save them.
Wishlists follow the shopper from phone to laptop once they log in.
02 · Heavy scripts
Your wishlist app loads its script on every page.
Features load only on the pages that use them.
03 · Leaked prizes
Prize wheel codes ended up on a coupon site.
Each prize code works once for one shopper, at a price you set.
04 · No signals
Klaviyo doesn't know who saved what.
Every save and prize becomes a Klaviyo event, so price drops trigger emails.
A shopper finds 3 jackets she likes on her lunch break. With no way to save them, she takes screenshots. That night, on her laptop, she can't find the right one. You added a wishlist app last year, but its script loads on every page. Your prize wheel popup handed out discount codes that ended up on a coupon site. None of it told Klaviyo who saved what.
We start with what your shoppers do before they buy: how often they return, on which device, and what makes them leave. Then we build a light wishlist that follows them across devices, plus a compare view or prize game when it fits. Each save and prize becomes an event in your Klaviyo account. A price drop on a saved jacket becomes an email, not a lost sale.
Saved on any device
Wishlists follow the shopper from phone to laptop once they log in, with nothing lost.
Prizes you can afford
You price every slice of the wheel first, and each code works once for one shopper.
Scripts only where needed
Features load only on the pages that use them, so your product pages stay fast.
Our Gamification Process
You approve the features, the prize rules, and the designs before we build. Then you try everything on a preview theme before shoppers see it.
We look at your theme, your apps, and how shoppers move through your store. You get a straight answer on which feature to build first, and whether an app already covers it.
What's Included
Every plan includes the wishlist, Klaviyo events, and speed checks. Larger plans add compare, saved carts, a prize game, and challenges with rewards.
Compare Options
Separate apps launch fastest, and loyalty add-ons suit stores already paying for one. Custom fits when features should match your theme and share one set of data.

What Our Clients Say
Feedback from ecommerce teams we have built stores, apps, and integrations for.
We had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

Work Culture
Every feature you add costs page speed and margin, so we build only what earns its place on your store. These habits keep your pages fast and your prizes affordable.
A wishlist button doesn't need to load on your checkout or blog. We load each feature where it's used and measure page speed before and after.
Your shoppers browse on phones and buy on laptops. Saved items sit on their Shopify account, so your list is waiting on every device.
Each slice of your wheel has a cost and a chance you approve. The game can't give away more than your margin allows.
Prize codes are single-use and tied to one shopper's email. They can't end up on coupon sites and drain your margin.
If Klaviyo's spin-to-win form or a free app covers what you need, we'll say so before quoting. Custom work has to earn its keep.
Wishlists live on your customers' Shopify accounts, and the code sits in your repository. Nothing disappears if you cancel an app.
Overview
DeveloperLook builds ecommerce gamification that brings shoppers back: a wishlist that follows them across devices, prize games you can afford, and challenges tied to real purchases. Each saved item or prize becomes a Klaviyo event that starts a follow-up email. Builds start at $750, most go live in 2 to 3 weeks, and you own the code.

Good fit
Shopify stores without a way to save
Your shoppers screenshot products or leave tabs open, because they can't save a product for later.
Stores that tried a Shopify wishlist app
Your wishlist app works, but it loads on every page and its saved items don't reach your Klaviyo account.
Brands that want a prize game
You want a prize wheel or scratch card at a sale, with prizes priced so the game can't cost more than planned.
Stores selling considered purchases
Your shoppers compare 3 or 4 similar products over several visits, and lose track along the way.
Agencies with Shopify clients
Your client wants a custom wishlist or prize game, and you need it built under your agency's name.
Not a fit
Spin-to-win form only
You only need a spin-to-win signup form. Klaviyo's own spin-to-win form covers that, so you won't need a custom build.
Points and streaks
You want points, VIP tiers, or streaks based on spend over time. Loyalty Program Development is the right page for that.
Friend referrals
You want customers to bring friends for a reward. Our Referral and Affiliate Program Setup service covers links, codes, and payouts.
Low monthly traffic
Your store gets under about 1,000 visits a month. A free wishlist app is enough until traffic grows, so start there.

A custom wishlist starts at $750, with saved lists across devices and a Klaviyo event for every save. Adding compare, a cart save option, and one prize game costs $1,800. Challenges with points or code rewards start at $3,600. You get a fixed quote after a free feature review.
A custom wishlist takes 2 to 3 weeks from the feature review to launch. Adding compare and a prize game brings your timeline to 4 to 5 weeks. Challenges take 6 to 7 weeks, because each rule needs testing with real customer accounts. Every plan starts with a free review.
You can add prize wheels, scratch cards, time-bound challenges, and wishlists as custom features. Streaks and tiers track spending over months, so they are the part of gamification ecommerce stores should run through a loyalty program. That work sits on our Loyalty Program Development page.
You add them with an app or with custom code in a theme app extension. Custom builds store saved items on the customer's Shopify account, so lists follow them across devices. Compare works as a side-by-side page, and save for later moves cart items to the list instead of deleting them.
An app is better for a simple list and a small budget, since it installs in minutes. A custom build pays off when you want the list in your theme's design, loading only where it's used, and sending every save to Klaviyo. We compare both in the free review.
Yes, every save can reach Klaviyo as an event with the product, price, and shopper. Klaviyo can start a flow from any event sent to its API. Common flows are a reminder a few days after saving, a price drop alert, and a back-in-stock message for saved items.
They don't have to, if each feature loads only on the pages that use it. Many apps load their script on every page, including ones that don't show the feature. We build with theme app extensions, run PageSpeed tests before and after launch, and fix any drop before sign-off.
Every prize code is single-use and created for one shopper's email when they play. Each email gets one play per campaign, and codes expire after a set number of days. Prizes are priced before launch, so even a busy weekend can't give away more than you approved.
Yes, challenges can award points through your loyalty app instead of discount codes. Many loyalty apps accept points from outside through their API. That keeps one balance for each customer, and we avoid building a second points system. Wishlists and prize games work with or without one.
Yes, you own both. Saved lists live on your customers' Shopify accounts, the code sits in your repository, and any app we build runs under your Shopify account. If you switch agencies or themes, the lists stay with your customers. Every plan includes 30 to 90 days of support.
