How your project runs
01 ยท FreeTeams we have built for:

The Problem
Risk shows up as a questionnaire, a renewal form, and a ransomware headline in the same month, with no way to compare them.
Priorities
Every security request sounds urgent, so the loudest one gets funded.
Priorities
Each risk is scored on likelihood and impact, so budget follows the score.
Evidence
Risk ratings are gut feel that nobody can defend later.
Evidence
We record the proof behind every score: settings, interviews, scans, and test results.
Ownership
Risks sit on a list with no owner and no deadline.
Ownership
Every risk gets a named owner, a decision, and a review date.
Questionnaires
Customers and insurers ask for an assessment you don't have.
Questionnaires
You get a dated report and register you can share under NDA.
Your largest customer sends a security questionnaire asking for your latest cyber security risk assessment, and you don't have one. Your IT provider wants a new firewall. Your insurer's renewal form asks about backups and admin accounts. A board member forwards a ransomware story and asks if you're exposed. Every request sounds urgent, and nobody can say which risk would hurt the business most. So money follows the loudest voice, and the real gap (often an old admin account or a backup nobody has restored) stays open.
We start with what you'd lose: the systems, data, and processes the business can't run without. Then we pair each one with the threats and weaknesses that apply and check your real settings. Each risk is scored 1 to 5 for likelihood and impact, with the evidence written down. Every risk gets an owner and a decision: fix, accept, transfer, or avoid. Budget follows the scores, not the loudest request.
Scored on likelihood and impact
Every risk gets a 1 to 5 score for both, with the evidence behind it written down.
A decision for every risk
Fix, accept, transfer to insurance, or avoid: each risk ends with a clear choice and an owner.
A report you can share
A plain-English summary for leaders, plus the full register for your IT team and auditors.
Our Cybersecurity Risk Assessment Process
You see the scope before we start, approve the asset list, review the draft scores, and walk through the final report with us before anything is marked done.
We talk through what the business depends on and any deadline, such as a renewal or a customer review. You get a written scope and a fixed price. If a free self-assessment would cover your case, we'll tell you before we quote.
What's Included
Six deliverables turn a vague sense of exposure into a ranked list you can act on. You keep every file and can update it after each fix.
Compare Options
A free template suits a first look, and a large firm suits regulated enterprises. Here is where each breaks down for a growing company that needs scores it can defend.

Projects We've Built
Risk, finance, health, and HR apps we built for clients, including Logify's risk and control register. They are build projects, not assessments.

What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built secure business apps and websites for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasnโt sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything weโve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didnโt want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. Iโve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
We score risk the way engineers fix it: from real settings, with evidence you can check. When a risk is cheaper to accept than to fix, we say so.
We check MFA, admin accounts, patches, and backups in your consoles before rating a risk. Scores built on proof hold up when an auditor asks.
Some risks cost more to fix than they could ever cost you. We say so and record the acceptance, so money isn't spent just to clear a list.
We describe each risk by what stops working: orders, payroll, client files, or email. Leaders decide faster when they see the business impact.
The people who score your risks also configure MFA, backups, and device policies. So treatment plans carry realistic effort estimates.
You get a written scope and a fixed price after the scoping call. Extra systems or sites are quoted before any added work starts.
The register, scales, and templates are yours in an editable format. You can re-score after changes or hand everything to a future security hire.

Good fit
B2B companies answering customer questionnaires
Your biggest customer's security questionnaire asks when you last assessed cyber risk, and you need a dated, defensible answer before the contract renews.
Businesses facing a cyber insurance renewal
Your insurer's renewal form asks how you assess cyber risk, and you want real scores and controls behind every answer you sign.
Owners with no security staff
You run a 20 to 200 person company on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, with apps in AWS or Azure, and nobody owns security full time.
IT managers who need budget
You know the gaps but need an IT security risk assessment with scores and costs, so leadership funds the right fixes first.
Agencies and MSPs serving clients
You manage IT for several clients and want white-label assessments you can deliver under your brand, with our team doing the scoring.
Not a fit
HIPAA risk analysis needed
You need the HIPAA Security Rule risk analysis for patient data. Our HIPAA Compliance Services page covers that, because it follows HHS guidance for ePHI.
Framework score only
You only want a maturity score for each security domain, not a risk register. Our Cybersecurity Assessment Services page scores your controls domain by domain.
Proof of exploitable flaws
You need someone to attack one app and prove what is exploitable. A penetration test fits better: see our Web Application Penetration Testing Services.
Budget under $1,050
Your budget is under $1,050 and you have fewer than 10 staff. A free self-assessment, or our Cybersecurity Services for Small Business page, is a better first step.

Pricing
These are starting points in USD. Your final price depends on the number of systems, sites, and interviews in scope, and you get a fixed proposal after a free scoping call.
For Agencies
You own the client relationship. We supply the interviews, evidence checks, scoring, and report writing under your brand. You answer client and insurer security requests without hiring a risk analyst.
White label: your client only ever sees your brand
Send the client's size, systems, and deadline, and we confirm scope and price.
We run interviews and checks under your name, with your team copied on every step.
You deliver the branded report and register, and we join the readout if you ask.

This assessment is a structured review of what could harm your systems and data, and how likely and costly each harm is. It lists your assets, pairs them with threats and weaknesses, and scores each risk. The result is a ranked register that tells you what to fix, accept, insure, or stop doing.
Cybersecurity risk is the chance that a threat exploits a weakness in your systems, combined with the harm it would cause. A phishing email reaching an inbox without MFA could end in invoice fraud. A risk assessment in cybersecurity scores both parts, so you can lower either one.
Cybersecurity risk assessment services from DeveloperLook start at $1,050 for a Risk Snapshot: up to 20 systems mapped and the top 15 risks scored. The Full Assessment is $2,650 for up to 60 systems. The Risk Program is $5,250 and adds dollar loss ranges, up to 20 hours of fixes, and a 90-day re-score.
The assessment involves 5 parts: scoping, an asset and data map, threat and weakness analysis, scoring, and treatment decisions. We use NIST SP 800-30 as our cybersecurity risk assessment framework and can map results to NIST CSF 2.0 or ISO/IEC 27001. You join 1 to 3 workshops and approve the asset list.
You conduct one by mapping what you must protect, finding what could go wrong, and scoring each risk. We interview leaders and IT, check settings such as MFA, admin roles, and backups, then score likelihood and impact from 1 to 5. Most assessments take 2 to 5 weeks, or 6 to 10 weeks with fixes.
A cyber risk assessment is the same exercise under a shorter name: it rates the risks to your digital systems by likelihood and business impact. Insurers and customers sometimes use the term for their own reviews of you. Ours covers your systems, data, and key suppliers, and ends with a decision per risk.
Companies run them to decide where security money goes and to prove they manage risk. Customers, insurers, and auditors ask for one, and frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 expect one on file. A scored register also stops the loudest request from winning the budget.
It's important because no company can protect everything equally on a limited budget. A risk assessment for cyber security shows which few gaps carry most of the risk: often missing MFA, an old admin account, or an untested backup. Without one, teams buy tools for threats they don't face.
Run one at least once a year and after any big change. Big changes include a new core system, an acquisition, a move to remote work, or a security incident. Many teams also time one before an insurance renewal or a large customer's security review, and we re-score after major fixes.
You rarely need a local consultant for this work: DeveloperLook is a US company that runs assessments remotely for clients in 10 countries. Interviews happen on video calls, and we check settings through read-only access you grant. If you need physical security inspected on site, a local firm fits better.
