The Problem
Installing the app takes minutes. The parts that decide whether your emails work, like tracking, consent, and the domain you send from, are the parts most setups skip.
01 · Missing events
The app embed is off, so product views don't reach Klaviyo.
Onsite tracking gets turned on and tested with real views and carts.
02 · Shared domain
Inboxes show via klaviyomail.com next to your name.
A branded sending domain and DMARC record put your name in inboxes.
03 · Old app
Your old email app can trigger double opt-in emails.
Your old email app gets disconnected before anything sends.
04 · Lost consent
Last year's SMS subscribers arrived without their consent.
Past SMS subscribers come across through a separate consent import.
You installed Klaviyo months ago, and the dashboard looks busy. But the app embed is off, so product views and added-to-cart events don't reach Klaviyo. Emails go out from a shared domain, so inboxes show via klaviyomail.com next to your name. Your old email app is still connected, which can trigger double opt-in emails to your list. And the SMS subscribers you collected last year didn't bring their consent with them.
We start by connecting your data properly: the Shopify integration, onsite tracking, and behavioral events. Your last 90 days sync first, then the full history. Then we fix consent, disconnect your old email app, and add forms. Your emails go out from your own domain with DMARC in place, so your first flow runs on clean data, not guesswork.
Events that reach Klaviyo
Onsite tracking turned on, then tested with real product views and carts.
Consent that matches Shopify
Email and SMS consent synced, with past SMS subscribers handled through a separate import.
Sending from your own domain
A branded domain and DMARC record, so inboxes show your name, not klaviyomail.com.
Our Klaviyo Setup Process
You see what your account is missing, how your data and consent will sync, and a tested result before your Klaviyo Shopify integration goes live.
We look at your Klaviyo account, the Shopify app settings, your old email tool, and your DNS. You get a list of what's missing and a fixed quote. If Klaviyo's own setup wizard covers you, we'll tell you before we quote.
What's Included
Every integration covers the connection, event tracking, consent sync, signup forms, a branded domain, SMS where you want it, and a tested handover.
Compare Options
An email agency writes and sends campaigns well, and Klaviyo's setup wizard is free. The difference is the plumbing underneath: events, consent, and the domain you send from.

Projects We've Built
A selection of ecommerce stores we've built and extended. Klaviyo setups go faster when we already know a store's theme and apps.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from ecommerce teams we have built stores, integrations, and automation for.
We had a different kind of problem. People were visiting the store, adding products to their carts, and then disappearing before they finished the order. We had tried a few apps and made changes here and there, but nothing really seemed to solve the bigger issue. The team went through the shopping experience with us and pointed out things we hadn't really noticed ourselves. They cleaned up the cart and checkout flow, made the mobile experience much smoother, and helped us make the store feel easier to shop. I’m not going to pretend we fixed everything overnight, but it finally feels like the store is helping the sale instead of getting in the way of it.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.

Work Culture
Every flow you build later depends on the data and consent underneath it. These are the habits we bring to each Klaviyo connection.
A second email app still connected to Shopify can trigger double opt-in emails to your existing list. We disconnect the old one before Klaviyo goes live.
We browse and buy as a shopper and watch each event land in Klaviyo. Product views, carts, and checkouts are confirmed before you build a flow.
Past SMS subscribers don't bring their consent with them automatically. We import them with proof of consent, so your first text reaches only people who agreed.
Sending from a shared domain puts klaviyomail.com next to your name. We set your own sending domain and DMARC, so inbox providers can verify it's you.
If you have under 250 profiles and simple needs, Klaviyo's free plan and wizard may be enough. We'd rather say so than sell you a setup.
Klaviyo, your domain, and your DNS records stay under your business. We remove our access when the work is done.
Overview
DeveloperLook handles Klaviyo Shopify integration for stores that want clean data before they build flows. We connect the app, turn on onsite tracking, sync email and SMS consent, add signup forms, and set up a branded sending domain. Setup starts at $550. Most connections are live within a week, and migrations take 3 to 5 weeks.

Good fit
Shopify stores new to Klaviyo
You just signed up for Klaviyo and want the Shopify connection, tracking, and forms right before you send your first email.
Stores switching email tools
You're moving from Mailchimp or Shopify Messaging and need lists, consent, and domain settings moved without surprise opt-in emails.
Stores with a half-finished setup
Your Klaviyo app is installed, but the app embed is off, forms look off-brand, and emails still show via klaviyomail.com.
Brands adding text messages
You want Klaviyo SMS setup done right: a verified toll-free number, consent language on every form, and quiet hours set.
Agencies with Klaviyo clients
Your agency runs a client's campaigns, and you need the connection, consent, and domain setup handled first, under your brand.
Not a fit
Flows written and built
You need flows written and built, like welcome and post-purchase series. Our Klaviyo Expert Flow Setup service builds them once this groundwork is in place.
Monthly campaigns
You want campaigns planned and sent every month. Our Klaviyo Agency for Shopify Stores service runs that program for you.
Cart reminders only
You only need cart reminder emails on top of your current setup. Our Abandoned Cart Recovery Setup service covers those flows.
Under 250 profiles
Your list is under 250 profiles and Klaviyo's free plan suits you. Its setup wizard may be enough, and our $550 setup can wait.

For Agencies
If you're a Shopify email marketing agency, you own the client and the campaigns. We supply the groundwork: the Shopify connection, event tracking, consent sync, and email domain, delivered under your brand.
White label: your client only ever sees your brand
Send Klaviyo and Shopify access, the previous tool, and DNS access.
You get the integration check, a fixed price, and a go-live date first.
We connect, test, and document every setting, then hand over under your brand.
We work under your agency's name, from the check to handover.
A fixed price per account and a go-live date agreed first.
Tracking, consent, forms, and DMARC handled without hand-holding.
Bring one client account or a queue of migrations.
The Right Technology for Your Project
We use Klaviyo's own Shopify integration first, and its API only where your store, headless build, or other apps need custom data.

Klaviyo is free for up to 250 active profiles and 500 email sends a month. Its Email plan starts at $20 a month for 500 profiles. Klaviyo counts any profile it can email as active, consent or not, so we suppress the ones you won't contact. Our setup fee starts at $550, paid once.
A standard connection with tracking, forms, and a branded domain needs 3 to 5 business days. Adding SMS takes 1 to 2 weeks, because Klaviyo verifies your toll-free number in 2 to 5 business days. Migrations take 3 to 5 weeks, with sending ramped up slowly.
You add Shopify from Klaviyo's Integrations tab, connect your store, and approve the permissions. Then turn on the Klaviyo app embed in your theme, tick Track behavioral events, and choose which list your Shopify signups sync to. Disconnect any old email app first, or your existing list can get double opt-in emails.
You publish the form in Klaviyo, copy its form ID, and add the Klaviyo Embedded Form block in your theme editor. The app embed must be on, and Klaviyo's steps assume an Online Store 2.0 theme. Popups and flyouts need no block, because the app embed loads them.
Klaviyo's tags label campaigns, flows, lists, and segments, not people. To mark a person automatically, add an Update profile property step to a flow, then segment on that property. Shopify customer tags already sync in as a Shopify Tags property, but edits made in Klaviyo get overwritten on the next sync.
You change the default sender under Settings, then Account, where the sender name and email live. New messages use it, but existing flows and campaigns keep the old address until you update them. If your domain uses DMARC, set up a branded sending domain first, or your mail can fail authentication.
Klaviyo keeps a profile for each shopper and fills it with store events like product views and orders. It then sends email and SMS based on that data. It runs automated flows, one-off campaigns, signup forms, and segments, and it reports revenue by message. On Shopify, the data arrives through its integration and onsite tracking.
Yes, Klaviyo describes itself as a B2C CRM: customer records built from store data rather than a sales pipeline. It isn't built to track sales deals. If you sell B2B or run a sales team, it usually sits beside HubSpot or Salesforce rather than replacing them.
Stores use Klaviyo for welcome emails, cart and browse reminders, post-purchase follow-ups, win-back messages, and newsletter campaigns. Many add SMS for time-sensitive messages, plus segments for VIP or lapsed buyers. Building those flows is our Klaviyo Expert Flow Setup service, and this page covers the setup underneath.
Start with clean data: tracking on, events tested, consent synced, and your own domain in place. Then build the core flows before campaigns, because they run on every visitor without extra work. Segment by real order data, and check deliverability each month as your list grows.
