How your project runs
Teams we have built for:

The Problem
Very: each project type has its own sections and fields. That's why Filevine integrations built for a generic template write data into the wrong place at your firm.
01 · Intake
Night-time web leads get retyped the next morning.
Intake forms open a Filevine project with the contact already attached.
02 · Mapping
Zaps dump every detail into project notes.
Each field writes into its own section or collection item.
03 · Calls
RingCentral calls stay out of the project file.
Calls, missed calls, and voicemail transcripts log to the right project.
04 · Billing
Invoices get rebuilt for QuickBooks by hand.
Invoices stage for review in Filevine, then post to QuickBooks.
A lead fills out your intake form at 9 p.m., and a paralegal retypes it into Filevine the next morning. Your personal injury project type has a medical providers collection, but the zap someone built writes everything into notes. Calls from RingCentral don't reach the project, so the case manager can't see who called. Your accountant rebuilds invoices for QuickBooks by hand. Every vendor promises a Filevine link, yet none of them knows your project types.
We start with your project types: the sections, collections, and fields each kind of matter uses. Each integration gets mapped to exactly where its data belongs, with only the fields it needs. Then we connect intake, Outlook, phones, billing, and lists, and test them on a sample project. Data lands in the section your team already reads, not in a pile of notes.
Mapped to your project types
Every link writes into the section and collection your team already uses for that matter.
Only the fields each link needs
Least-access mapping and service-account tokens keep client information inside the firm.
Tested on a sample project
Every link runs against a sample project before it touches a live client matter.
Our Filevine Integration Process
Your Filevine admin sees the field map first, approves it, then checks each link on a sample project before live matters use it.
We trace how a matter reaches Filevine today: intake forms, calls, email, texts, and billing. You get a list of the links Filevine already offers, the paid partner ones, and the gaps that need Zapier or the API.
What's Included
Most firms need a field map, intake into projects, and the Outlook add-in. Busier firms add phones, billing, newsletters, document backup, and custom API work.
Compare Options
Paid add-ons from Filevine's partners switch on quickly for one job, and an in-house admin knows your matters best. Here's where each holds up as links multiply.
| Feature | DeveloperLookBest fit | Vendor add-ons | In-house admin |
|---|---|---|---|
| Case flow review | Every intake and phone path mapped | Per add-on only | Learned by trial |
| Field mapping | Mapped to project type sections | Set by each add-on | Built as needs appear |
| Intake to project | Zapier or API, tested | Depends on the add-on | Retyped by paralegals |
| Phones and texting | RingCentral logging configured | Paid RingCentral add-on | Native texting only |
| Custom API work | Service-account token, scoped | Not offered | Rarely attempted |
| Speed to start | 2 to 6 weeks | Days once purchased | Ongoing |
| Confidentiality | Fields limited per link | Set by each vendor | Depends on admin habits |
| Cost | Fixed price from $800 | Subscription per add-on | Staff hours every week |
Projects We've Built
Advisory, insurance, investment, and recruiting software we designed and built. None of them ran on Filevine, but each handles client records with care.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built websites and business software for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
Law firms carry confidentiality duties, and every firm customizes Filevine differently. These habits keep our Filevine integration services careful with both.
We check Filevine's own integrations and paid partner add-ons before writing code. If one already covers your case, we'll tell you before we quote.
Each link gets only the fields it needs, and API work runs on a service account's token. Client information stays inside the firm's walls.
We map every link to your own project types and sections, not a generic template. Filevine setups differ by firm, so mapping comes before building.
Every link runs against a sample project first, with made-up client data. Mistakes land on a test file, not on a client's case.
Eve Legal doesn't list Filevine, and the API can't send texts or run DocGen. We say so upfront, so you don't pay for a dead end.
You get a written scope and one price after the free review. New requests mid-project get quoted before we start them.

Good fit
Plaintiff firms using Lawbrokr intake
Your intake forms run on Lawbrokr, and paralegals still retype each signed lead into Filevine. You need a Lawbrokr Filevine integration mapped to your project types.
Firms piloting Eve Legal
You're testing Eve Legal for case work, but Eve doesn't list Filevine among its systems. You want to know what an Eve Legal Filevine integration would take.
Offices on RingCentral phones
Your calls and voicemails live in RingCentral while the case lives in Filevine. A Filevine RingCentral integration logs each call to the right project.
Firms billing through QuickBooks
Your accountant rebuilds invoices and expenses by hand each month. You want the Filevine QuickBooks integration staging invoices for review first.
Marketing teams sending client newsletters
You send client newsletters through Mailchimp from lists exported out of Filevine. A Filevine Mailchimp integration through Zapier keeps those lists current.
Not a fit
Firm runs on Clio
Your matters live in Clio Manage, not Filevine. Our Clio website integration page covers web forms, Clio Grow intake, and the Clio API.
Still choosing intake software
You haven't picked an intake tool yet and want advice first. Our law firm CRM integration page helps you choose before anything gets connected to Filevine.
Budget under $800
Your budget is under $800 and you only need the Outlook add-in installed. Filevine's own setup guide covers that, and we'll say so before we quote.
DocGen or texts by API
Your build depends on generating documents or sending texts through the API. Filevine's API has no endpoint for either, so those stay inside Filevine's own tools.

$2,200one-time, USD
For firms that need a custom link, backup, or dashboard built on Filevine's API.

For Agencies
You own the law firm client. We supply the Filevine integration work behind your brand: field maps, intake links, phone and billing connections, and API builds. You keep the relationship, and we stay in the background unless you invite us.
White label: your client only ever sees your brand
Send the Filevine project types, tools in use, and what the firm wants fixed first.
We map fields and links, then send a fixed scope you can mark up.
We build, test on a sample project, and hand you a white-label guide.
Your brand on every field map and handover guide.
Fixed timelines that work around trial and filing schedules.
Least-access links and service accounts on every build we deliver.
Extra hands across several firm clients without hiring.
The Right Technology for Your Project
We use Filevine's own integrations and partner add-ons first, then Zapier and the Filevine API v2 where a firm's project types need more.

DeveloperLook's Filevine integrations start at $800 for a project type field map, web or Lawbrokr intake through Zapier, and the Outlook add-in rollout. Adding RingCentral logging, QuickBooks invoice staging, Mailchimp tags, and ChartSquad starts at $2,200. Custom builds on Filevine's API start at $4,400. Filevine and its partners bill their own subscriptions.
Filevine is legal case, matter, and project management software for law firms, government teams, and in-house legal departments. It serves practices from solo firms to Big Law, and its homepage now leads with LOIS, its AI product. Filevine also sells Lead Docket for intake and Vinesign for e-signatures.
Filevine organizes each matter as a project with phases, tasks, documents, notes, contacts, and an activity feed. Phases can trigger taskflows, DocGen assembles documents from project data, and native texting runs from project numbers. Custom reports and dashboards sit on top, so partners see caseloads without opening each file.
Law firms use Filevine to run matters from signed retainer to close, with intake in Lead Docket when they add it. Common uses include phase and deadline tracking, medical records through partners like ChartSquad, depositions, Vinesign e-signatures, and client texting. Government and in-house legal teams use it for matter tracking too.
Not exactly: Filevine calls itself case and matter management, and intake runs through Lead Docket. Lead Docket handles the CRM job, from first click to signed retainer, and firms can add it to Filevine. Firms on another intake tool, such as Lawbrokr, connect it through Zapier or the API instead.
Filevine doesn't publish prices: every package is quoted for the firm, as of October 2026. Its pricing page names Matters, Intake, Depositions, Signatures, and LOIS packages and points firms to sales. Paid add-ons such as the RingCentral integration are priced separately, so ask for those in the same quote.
You install Filevine's Outlook add-in, which needs Exchange, usually Office 365, and Outlook on the web or the newest Outlook app. From an email, you send it to a project's activity feed, attach files, create tasks, or check project vitals. Calendar sync runs through Filevine's separate Office 365 Calendar integration.
ChartSquad is a Filevine integration partner, so the link is switched on through ChartSquad and Filevine rather than built from scratch. Once linked, you request medical records for a client, and ChartSquad stores, tracks, and shares them inside the Filevine project. We map where those records land in your project type.
Yes, Filevine has native texting with an organization number and per-project numbers. You send a text from a project's activity, and replies file to the contact's project or the mailroom. US numbers register automatically, unused project numbers are released after 6 months, and the API has no endpoint for sending texts.
You customize Filevine in the Customs Editor, one project type at a time. Admins add sections, either static or collections (a permanent choice), plus fields with conditional visibility, up to 100 vitals, phases, and folder templates. Filevine recommends staying under 2,000 fields, so we add integration fields sparingly.
