Well-Architected review
Your projects checked against Google's six pillars, with each finding ranked by risk and monthly cost.
For startups and product teams that began on Firebase or free credits: one organized Google Cloud setup, safer access, and a bill you can read. From $850.

Teams we have built for:

The Problem
It shows up after the first year on Firebase or free credits. Projects multiply, access spreads to everyone, and the bill arrives without a breakdown your team can explain.
01 · Project sprawl
Projects named test, test2, and prod-final share no structure.
Projects move under one organization, with folders for each product and environment.
02 · Owner for all
Every developer holds Owner, including one who already left.
Roles go to Google groups with least privilege, and stale access gets removed.
03 · Stored keys
A service account key sits in a CI secret, unrotated.
Deploys switch to Workload Identity Federation, so no long-lived keys are stored.
04 · Opaque bill
The credits ran out, and the bill has no product breakdown.
Billing exports to BigQuery, with labels and budgets for every project.
Your app launched on Firebase with free credits, and it worked. Now you have Google Cloud projects called test, test2, and prod-final, with no organization above them. Every developer holds the Owner role, including one who left in spring. A service account key sits in a CI secret that nobody has rotated. The credits ran out, and the bill shows no split by product. Then your first enterprise customer asks who can reach production data, and nobody wants to answer.
We start with a read-only review of every project against Google's Well-Architected Framework. Day-one fixes come first: projects grouped under one organization, roles moved to Google groups, and billing exported to BigQuery with budgets. Then we rebuild the foundation in Terraform and switch deploys to Workload Identity Federation. Your next security questionnaire gets real answers, not guesses.
One organization, clear folders
Every project sits under one organization, grouped in folders by product and environment.
Access through Google groups
Roles go to groups, so removing someone takes one step instead of a hunt through every project.
A bill split by project
Billing data lands in BigQuery, so you see spend per project and service, with budget alerts.
Our Google Cloud Consulting Services Process
You see each finding with its risk and cost, approve every change before it happens, and keep the Terraform code and diagrams when we finish.
We look at your Google Cloud projects, your Firebase setup if you have one, and your latest bill. You get the plan that fits, the projects in scope, and a fixed price within 2 business days.
What's Included
Every plan reviews your projects against Google's six pillars, groups them under one organization, and fixes access and billing. Larger plans build the foundation in Terraform and move workloads in.
Compare Options
A large partner firm suits enterprise programs, and an in-house hire keeps knowledge inside the company. Here's where a fixed-price Google Cloud review and build fits.

|---|---|---|---|
| Starting cost | From $850, fixed scope | Larger minimum projects | A full-time salary |
| Partner status | Not claimed | Often listed by Google | Not applicable |

| Who does the work | Senior engineers, named upfront | Varies by project | Your own employee |
| Start time | Within 1 to 2 weeks | After weeks of scoping | After months of hiring |
| Enterprise programs | Not our focus | Built for them | Hard for one person |

Projects We've Built
Mobile apps and dashboards our team designed and built, the kind of apps teams often launch on Firebase. They show what we run on Google Cloud, not Google Cloud engagements.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built web apps and websites for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
We work as an independent team inside your Google Cloud organization. These habits keep the advice specific, the changes reviewable, and your team in charge after we leave.
We're not Google and not a Google Cloud partner, and we won't claim otherwise. You judge us on a small fixed-price review before anything bigger.
Many web apps run well on Cloud Run with far less to manage than a cluster. We suggest GKE only when your services actually need Kubernetes.
Your Firebase project is already a Google Cloud project, so we work with it rather than around it. Auth, Firestore, and hosting stay where they serve you well.
Folders, policies, and networks go into Terraform your team can review. The next engineer can read what changed and why without having to ask us.
We start with viewer access and change nothing while we look around. Fixes arrive later as Terraform pull requests, each one approved by your team.
A small app may need little more than Firebase and a budget alert. If that already covers your case, we'll tell you before we quote.
Overview
DeveloperLook provides Google Cloud consulting services for startups and product teams, as an independent team rather than Google or a Google Cloud partner. We review your projects, group them under one organization, move access to groups, export billing to BigQuery, and build foundations in Terraform. Reviews start at $850 and take 1 to 2 weeks, while builds and migrations take 3 to 10 weeks.

Good fit
Startups that began on Firebase
Your app launched on Firebase, and now you need outside help to turn scattered projects into one organized, secure setup.
Teams whose cloud credits are ending
Your startup credits end next quarter, and you want Google Cloud platform consulting that shows the real monthly bill before it lands.
Teams testing a new cloud partner
You need GCP consulting services but can't justify a large retainer yet, so a small fixed-price review lets you test the advice first.
Companies moving onto Google Cloud
You're moving servers or databases onto Google Cloud and want a Google Cloud migration consultant who rehearses the cutover before the real move.
Agencies building on Firebase
Your agency builds client apps on Firebase and Google Cloud, and you need an engineer who works quietly under your brand on each client organization.
Not a fit
Google partner required
Your procurement rules require a listed Google Cloud partner. Check Google's partner directory for firms at the tier you need, because we don't claim partner status.
Your apps run on AWS
Your workloads run on AWS, not Google Cloud, and you want a review there. AWS Consulting Services covers the same kind of review for AWS accounts.
Leaving Google Cloud
You're moving off Google Cloud or comparing every provider before you choose. Cloud Migration Services plans the move across providers, whichever cloud wins.
Budget under $850
Your budget is under $850 and you run one small Firebase app. Firebase's own console, budget alerts, and Google's free recommendations will cover most needs.

DeveloperLook's Google Cloud work starts at $850 for a fixed-price review of up to 5 projects, with day-one fixes included. Foundation Setup is $3,100 and builds your organization, folders, and deploys in Terraform. Move to Google Cloud is $7,300 for up to 8 VMs and their databases. You get a fixed proposal after a free Google Cloud call.
A Google Cloud review of up to 5 projects takes 1 to 2 weeks, day-one fixes included. A Terraform foundation takes 3 to 5 weeks. Moving up to 8 VMs and their databases takes 6 to 10 weeks, because we rehearse the cutover on a copy before the real move. Your follow-up window starts at handover.
No, DeveloperLook is an independent company, not Google's own Google Cloud Consulting team and not a listed Google Cloud partner. Google runs its partner program as the Google Cloud Partner Network. If your procurement requires a partner at a set tier, check Google's partner directory before you shortlist anyone, including us.
A Google Cloud consultant plans, secures, and tunes how your company uses Google Cloud. Typical work covers project structure, IAM, networking, billing, deploy pipelines, and moving workloads in. A good Google Cloud consultancy also explains each choice, so your own team can run the setup without calling the consultant every week.
You already use it: every Firebase project is also a Google Cloud project behind the scenes. As the app grows, you'll reach for Google Cloud services such as Cloud Run for APIs, Cloud SQL for relational data, and BigQuery for analytics. We organize those projects so Firebase and Google Cloud work as one setup.
Start with Cloud Run unless your workloads need something it can't do. Cloud Run runs containers without a cluster to manage and can scale to zero when idle. GKE, especially in Autopilot mode, fits when you run many services that need custom networking, long-running workers, or Kubernetes tooling. Our Kubernetes Consulting page covers GKE work in depth.
A Google Cloud migration with us uses Google's own tools: Migration Center, Migrate to Virtual Machines, and Database Migration Service. Migration Center inventories your servers and estimates their Google Cloud cost. VMs copy across with replication, and databases move into Cloud SQL. We rehearse the cutover on a copy, then switch with a rollback path ready.
Workload Identity Federation lets GitHub Actions deploy to Google Cloud without a stored service account key. The pipeline proves its identity with a short-lived token, and Google grants access for that run only. That removes the risk of a leaked key sitting in your repository settings for years, and nobody has to rotate it.
Bring in a consultant first when you need a Google Cloud foundation built or a migration done, then decide on headcount. A full-time cloud engineer makes sense once daily operations fill their week. Either way, our review findings double as a clear job description if you do hire someone later.
You keep every file and change: the findings report, diagrams, runbooks, and Terraform for your organization, folders, projects, and networks. Nothing sits in accounts we control. We work through a Google group that you remove from your organization at handover, and the 14 to 60 day follow-up window starts that same day.
