Teams we have built for:

The Problem
It starts once a second or third Zoho app joins CRM. Each one works, but data moves between them by copy and paste, and small scripts break without warning.
01 · Double entry
Closed deals get retyped into Zoho Books by hand.
Deluge functions create the Books record the moment a deal closes in CRM.
02 · Silent failures
An old sync script stopped after a field was renamed.
Scripts log every error and alert your admin when a run fails.
03 · Outside sheets
Job tracking still lives in a spreadsheet outside Zoho.
A Creator app brings that process into Zoho with roles and reports.
04 · Lost tickets
Support tickets never reach the account owner.
Workflows link each ticket to its account, so owners see issues as they happen.
Your team closes a deal in Zoho CRM, then someone retypes the order into Zoho Books. A support ticket in Zoho Desk never reaches the account owner. Last year an admin wrote a Deluge script to sync them, but it stopped running after a field was renamed, and nobody noticed for weeks. Job tracking still lives in a spreadsheet outside Zoho entirely. You pay for the whole suite, yet the work between apps is still manual.
We start by mapping where each record is born and where it needs to go next. Then we write Deluge functions and workflows that move it, with error alerts when something fails. Processes that don't fit a standard Zoho app become Zoho Creator apps inside your account. Heavier logic or outside APIs run as Catalyst functions. Your data is entered once, and every Zoho app sees the same record.
Records mapped across apps
We map where each record starts and which Zoho apps need it, before writing any code.
Scripts that report failures
Every Deluge function logs errors and alerts your admin, so broken syncs don't go unnoticed.
Creator apps for the gaps
Processes no standard Zoho app covers get their own Creator app, inside your existing account.
Our Zoho Development Services Process
You approve the data flow map and the fixed scope before any Deluge is written, then watch records move between your apps as each piece lands.
We look at the Zoho apps you use, your edition, existing workflow rules and Deluge scripts, and where data gets typed twice. You get a short note on what to automate, what to build in Creator, and what Zoho already does without code.
What's Included
An account review, a data flow map, Deluge functions with error alerts, Creator apps or portals, Catalyst functions for heavy logic, and admin notes.
Compare Options
An in-house admin suits small rule changes, and a partner firm suits full Zoho One rollouts. Here is where each fits custom Zoho work, and where it breaks down.
| Feature | DeveloperLookBest fit | In-house admin | Partner firm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Upfront cost | From $900, fixed | Salary already paid | Often a monthly retainer |
| Time to start | After a 1 to 2 day review | Starts today | After onboarding calls |
| Deluge depth | Functions with error logging | Basic workflow rules | Varies by consultant |
| Creator apps | Built around your process | Templates, lightly edited | Part of larger rollouts |
| Catalyst and APIs | Used when Deluge falls short | Rarely used | Available on request |
| API credits | Planned per edition | Found when limits hit | Usually planned |
| Documentation | Notes for every script | In the admin's head | Formal handover pack |
| Ownership | Your account, your scripts | Your account | Your account, their know-how |
Projects We've Built
Insurance, HR, and consulting platforms our team designed and built. They show the forms and client logins a Zoho portal handles, though they weren't built on Zoho.
What Our Clients Say
Feedback from teams we have built business apps and software for.
We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted our website to become, but I wasn’t sure how easily we could explain all of it to a development team. There were quite a few moving parts, and we were working toward a deadline, so I expected a few things to get lost along the way. That never really happened. They understood what we were trying to achieve, kept us updated throughout the process, and got everything ready within the agreed timeline. The final site feels much easier to navigate, works beautifully on mobile, and is noticeably smoother for our customers. It was a huge relief seeing the original idea actually turn into the website we had in mind.
The mobile experience is probably my favourite part of the new site. We had spent a lot of time making sure the desktop version looked right, and the team kept pushing us to think about how everything would actually feel on a phone too. They were right. The navigation is clean, the interactions feel natural, and everything we’ve tested so far works exactly as it should. They also went through the links, forms, integrations, and other details more than once before launch, which I really appreciated. And even after going live, we could still reach out when something came up. The whole process felt friendly, organised, and surprisingly straightforward.
What I appreciate most is that the website is actually easy for us to manage now. We can update content ourselves instead of sending a developer a message every time we need to change something small. They also paid attention to the technical SEO side, which mattered to us because we didn’t want a new website to create problems for the traffic we already had. I’ve probably asked more questions than I should have since launch, but every question has been handled patiently and without any fuss. The team is easy to work with, they explain things clearly, and when we need something changed, they focus on getting it done rather than making the process complicated.

Work Culture
Zoho makes it easy to add one more script. We think about the whole account first, so every function has a reason, an owner, and an alert when it fails.
Zoho's workflow rules and blueprints already cover many processes without code. If they already cover your case, we'll tell you before we quote.
Zoho CRM meters API calls in credits over each 24-hour window, based on edition and users. We design every integration to stay inside that budget.
A sync that fails quietly is worse than no sync at all. Each function we write logs errors and emails your admin when a run breaks.
Functions, Creator apps, and Catalyst projects live in your own Zoho account. You don't depend on an outside server to keep your data moving.
Creator apps and portals get roles and permissions from day one. Customers see their own records, and staff see only what their job needs.
Each Deluge function comes with a plain note on what triggers it and what it changes. Your admin can adjust it later without guessing.
Overview
DeveloperLook offers Zoho development services for teams that outgrew Zoho's default setup. We write Deluge custom functions, build Zoho Creator apps and portals, and connect Zoho apps to each other and to outside tools. Catalyst functions step in when Deluge isn't enough. Work starts at $900, small jobs take 1 to 3 weeks, and the code stays in your account.

Good fit
Zoho One companies re-keying data
Your team pays for Zoho One, yet sales orders still get typed into Zoho Books by hand after every deal closes in Zoho CRM.
Operations teams needing a custom app
You need a Zoho Creator developer to turn a spreadsheet process, such as inspections or job tracking, into an app inside your Zoho account.
Admins stuck on Deluge scripts
Your admin wrote a few Deluge scripts that now fail silently, and you need Zoho programmers who can debug them and add proper error alerts.
Companies opening Zoho to customers
You want customers or suppliers to log in, check orders, and upload documents through a portal connected to your Zoho data.
Agencies and Zoho resellers
Your agency sells Zoho setups and wants to hire Zoho developer capacity for scripting and Creator builds under your own brand.
Not a fit
Budget under $900
Your budget is under $900 and you need one field or one simple rule. Zoho's built-in workflow rules can often do that without code.
Not on Zoho yet
You haven't chosen a platform and aren't tied to Zoho. Our Low Code Development Services page compares Zoho Creator with the alternatives.
Open-source ERP needed
You need accounting, inventory, and manufacturing in one open-source ERP. Our Odoo Development Company page covers that route instead.
Staff on Microsoft 365
Your staff live in Microsoft 365 rather than Zoho. Our Power Apps Developer for Business Apps page covers apps built there.

Custom Zoho work with DeveloperLook starts at $900 for up to 5 Deluge custom functions that connect one Zoho app to another. A Zoho Creator app with roles, approvals, and a sync to 2 other Zoho apps costs $2,600. Portals with Catalyst functions and outside integrations start at $5,400. Zoho subscriptions are billed by Zoho.
A pack of Deluge functions usually takes 1 to 3 weeks from the free review to launch. A Zoho Creator app takes 4 to 6 weeks, and portals with Catalyst functions take up to 10 weeks. Data cleanup and testing on copies of real records take most of that time.
This developer customizes and extends Zoho apps with Deluge scripts, Zoho Creator, APIs, and Catalyst. Admins handle settings and workflow rules, while developers write the functions, apps, and integrations those settings can't reach. When you find a Zoho developer, ask to see a Deluge function they wrote and how it handles errors.
Zoho uses Deluge, short for Data Enriched Language for the Universal Grid Environment, across Creator, CRM, Books, Flow, and other apps. It's a scripting language built for working with Zoho records, so common tasks take a few lines. Catalyst functions add Java, Node.js, and Python when a job needs a general-purpose language.
Zoho Catalyst is Zoho's full-stack cloud platform for building and running custom backends, with serverless functions, a data store, and hosting. Its functions run in Java, Node.js, or Python. We use it when a job outgrows Deluge, such as heavy data processing or calling outside APIs on a schedule.
Zoho is used to develop business apps, customer portals, workflow automations, and integrations between Zoho apps and outside tools. Zoho Creator handles apps and portals, Deluge handles logic inside each Zoho app, and Catalyst handles custom backends. Most of the Zoho development we do connects apps a company already pays for.
Build in Zoho Creator when the process isn't about sales, such as inspections, job tracking, or inventory requests. Customize Zoho CRM when the work is about leads, deals, and accounts. Creator apps can still read and update CRM records through Deluge, so the two work together instead of competing.
Zoho CRM meters API calls in credits over a rolling 24-hour window, and your limit depends on edition and user licenses. An integration that syncs every record one by one can run out by afternoon. We batch updates, use webhooks where they fit, and size usage to your edition during planning.
They come from firms in Zoho's partner program, which Zoho lists on its own website. A certificate shows a firm met Zoho's partner requirements, but it doesn't show how well they write Deluge. Ask any Zoho development company for sample functions, its error handling, and a fixed scope, badge or not.
You do. Every Deluge function, Creator app, and Catalyst project lives in your own Zoho account, with notes explaining what each one does. Support lasts 30 to 90 days depending on plan. After that, your admin can edit scripts or forms directly, and nothing depends on a server we control.
