Shopify Plus is Shopify's enterprise plan for high volume and fast growing brands. It runs on the same platform as other Shopify plans, but adds full checkout customization, custom Shopify Functions, native B2B, expansion stores, automation tools, higher API limits, and priority support. Most brands move to Plus when their checkout, wholesale, or international needs outgrow the standard plans.
Shopify Plus starts at about $2,300 per month on a three-year term and $2,500 per month on a one-year term. Once your sales pass a set volume, Shopify charges a percentage of revenue instead of the flat fee. Card processing rates are lower than on standard plans. Checkout customization is a separate cost, and our projects start at $1,999.
Yes. On every plan you can change branding in the checkout editor and add app blocks to the thank you and order status pages. On Shopify Plus you can also add checkout UI extensions to the information, shipping, and payment steps, and run custom Shopify Functions for discounts, payment methods, shipping options, and order validation. That is where most conversion and operations gains come from.
Not for everything. Branding and thank you page content work on any plan. You need Plus to add custom fields, upsells, or content to the main checkout steps, and to run custom apps with Shopify Functions. If your needs are simple, we will tell you during the audit and save you the upgrade.
It is worth it when checkout, B2B, or multi-store needs cost you more than the plan does. Common signs are high volume sales where lower card rates offset the fee, wholesale buyers who need their own pricing, or checkout rules standard plans cannot run. If you only need a better theme or more apps, a standard plan is usually enough.
Upgrade when you hit a limit that costs you money. That can be a checkout rule you cannot build, manual work fixing orders, wholesale customers on a separate store, a need for more staff accounts, or international markets that need their own storefronts. We can review your store and tell you whether the upgrade pays for itself before you sign a contract.
You contact Shopify's Plus sales team or start the upgrade from your admin, then sign a Plus agreement. Your store, theme, products, customers, and orders stay the same, so there is no migration. After the upgrade, we audit your checkout, move any old scripts to Functions, and build the extensions that make the new plan worth paying for.
Targeted fixes and branding take 1 to 2 weeks. A full checkout build with custom fields, upsells, and business rules takes 2 to 4 weeks. Scripts migrations, B2B rules, and ERP integrations take 4 to 8 weeks. The biggest variable is how quickly rules, content, and approvals arrive, and you get a dated plan after the audit.
Look for recent Plus work, experience with your specific ERP such as NetSuite or Dynamics, a written data map before any build, and a plan for syncing orders, inventory, and customers when things fail. Ask how they test, who owns the integration code, and what support looks like after launch. A good partner will also suggest an existing connector when custom work is not needed.
You own every extension, Function, and custom app we build, along with documentation. Every plan includes 30 days of post-launch support for fixes and adjustments. After that you can move to a retainer, hire us per project, or hand the code to another team without being locked in.
